Best Wellness Festivals in the UK

Find your own sense of Namaste this Summer with some wellness festivals you have to book.

No longer do we want burger stalls, horrid showers, camping or even glamping. Wellness is all the rage. Replace disgusting toilets with meditation, cold chips with quinoa and concerts in the cold with empowering talks. Here are our top picks of well rounded wellness festivals for the body and the mind to book in for this 2018.

Wilderness Festival

Wilderness Festival has been drawing thousands of revellers to Oxfordshire. Based at Cornbury Park near Charlbury, its earned itself a reputation as one of Britain’s poshest festivals, striking a balance between relaxation in the private nature reserve and a celebration of the arts. The event features everything including artists such as Bastille, yoga and fitness from Bodyism, Frame and Off the rails Dance Studio, ostentatious dining from Ottolenghi to Petersham Nurseries, and so much more. Choose a campsite, and book your activites in advance, or go with the flow and pick when you’re there.

Festival No 6

The UK’s most boutique festival experience. A multi award-winning music, arts and culture festival, located in the magical coastal home of Portmeirion, Wales, with an eclectic mix of iconic and the best new artists. The main stage is a Mediterranean-inspired, Grade II-listed fantasy village, surrounded by estuary, mountains and woodlands. During the festival, the village and surrounding woodlands come alive as a unique series of surreal and inspiring venues. There are plenty of wellness activities including runs, swimming, paddle boarding and hot tubs to yoga, massages, various treatments and inspirational talks.

Love Fit

We are paying for 3 days of fitness. Out of choice! What happened?? But LoveFit does it the best. A festival dedicated to fitness and features classes from 1Rebel, Fierce Grace Yoga, Good Life Yoga. There are also ’boutique’ afterparties, including one in the forest on Saturday night followed by acoustic sets on Sunday to recover while indulging in meditation, hot tubs, reflexology and wild runs. Nonstop adventure and fitness from industry leaders in the daytime, and some of the freshest music the UK has to offer in the evenings, LoveFit provides a healthier alternative to relaxing. It’s for beginners and fitness freaks alike. There’ll be all the usual fare of a standard festival, (and they will be serving alcohol), balanced with fresher mornings and feel-good days. Go for an early morning run, take a mid afternoon dip in the lake, or scrap it all in and spend the day at the spa.

Soul Circus

This is the third Soul Circus yoga and wellness festival.  Taking place in the beautiful Cotswolds, and with a carefully curated collection of cool collaborators, the holistic event is destined to draw a big crowd! And they define balance here. Working with Equinox, the hottest name in luxury membership fitness in London and across the pond, the weekend will include HIIT classes focusing on a plethora of Pilates – from Fusion to Barre to Heated sessions – as well as a diverse range of group fitness classes. For the other side of balance, spend your evenings at the counter bar trying local brews, at gin tastings, dancing to DJ sets and enjoying after parties. You’ll still get the traditional festival vibe here!
