STAY HERE One night only with Ruinart

Ruinart, famed Champagne House, opens the doors of Hotel 1729, the year in which the brand launched. The transformation of a discreet one-bedroom hotel in London’s Primrose Hill, will present an unexpected and dreamlike interpretation of the Maison Ruinart in a way that is disruptive, imaginative and sensory, designed in collaboration with Tom Hingston.

Embracing the juxtaposition of heritage and modernity that lies at the heart of Ruinart, be prepared for Hotel 1729 to bring you an evening of unexpected visual twists and storytelling, to stimulate the eyes, ears and taste buds.

During your overnight stay, guests will be personally hosted by Ruinart Maître d’Hospitalité, Olivier Livoir and experimental Danish chef Bo Lindegaard. Olivier. Don’t fancy dining with you and your beau alone? Invite up to four guests to join you for the evening dining experience. Now that’s a story to write home about.

SHOP HERE By Rory, bringing the Greek Islands online

Your Spring Summer wardrobe solution has arrived. Lifestyle curator Rory Shearer announces the launch of By Rory with curated collections of luxury resort wear – free-spirited or seasoned traveller? This one’s for you. House brands on the site include Asceno, Cloe Cassandro, Serena Bute and Antonia Zander, as well as exclusive By Rory collaborations with Cloe Cassandra, Finlay & Co, Tea & Tequila and more.

By Rory has since developed into a lifestyle brand, encompassing women’s, men’s and interior design with a strong design ethos. Rory’s first Greek boutique still stands today, as well as the Algarve, St Lucia, Spain and Italy.

WATCH THIS ‘Women: Work and Power’

Launching on London History Day (31 May 2018), the City of London Corporation introduces ‘Women: Work and Power’, a major 6-month season of over 70 events celebrating women’s achievements.

The packed programme will include talks curated by the Fawcett Society, concerts by women musicians, all-women theatre shows and a film season celebrating women in front of and behind the camera. Women: Work and Power highlights the outstanding achievements of women, both, famous and unheard of, through the ages.

The programme takes its inspiration from the Mayor of London’s ‘#BehindEveryGreatCity’ campaign, which focuses on London’s role in the women’s suffrage movement and addresses both the progress that’s been made in terms of gender equality in the last century and the steps that still need to be taken.

PACK THIS Tri-Balm, a travel-friendly, 3-in-1 cleanser.

We love a travel mini, but we also love to simplify our travel experience. Now we have discovered TRI-BALM, Tri by name and Tri by nature, the ideal travel companion. This all natural, triple action facial balm cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises skin, in one simple step. Fantastic for cleansing and hydrating in-flight and allowing you to streamline the products you take away with you.

First, it works like a balm cleanser, softening make-up and debris ready for removal with a blend of sunflower, sweet almond, wheat germ, crambe oil and more. (Beeswax is what gives it texture.) Swipe away with a muslin cloth.

Second, it has a subtle exfoliating effect, targeting the dead skin cells with pumpkin enzymes, which are among the mildest exfoliators around.

Finally, after you’ve cleansed skin, you can use a dab or three of the exact same product to moisturise and nourish – it offers hyaluronic acid to plump up skin, alongside antioxidant vitamin E and blackcurrant. It smooths beautifully into the skin. Arrive at your destination feeling refreshed; your complexion is left cleansed, hydrated, plump and glowing.

It’s smart skincare!

GET FIT HERE 'Wellbeing in the City' with Haymarket Hotel

Haymarket Hotel needs to be at the top of your must-stay list. The hotel pushes boundaries, not only with its fabulously quirky décor but with its health-centric approach to food and fitness.

Really craving that healthy hit? Beat the Londo heat with FloatFit. In a collaboration with AquaPhysical, the Hotel brings a series of morning classes, essentially a classic bodyweight workout on an oversized float in the middle of a swimming pool. The 30-minute workout includes burpees, squats, planks and yoga poses, all whilst balancing on floating boards on the pool.  The instability of balancing on the water makes your core work harder, and the water resistance is said to intensify muscle toning. Fall in the pool, jump back on and build up an appetite for the brunch extravaganza that is to come post work out.
