LOS ANGELES: GET THE LOOK with @songofstyle
From the palms to the pink Hollywood neon signs, La La Land never tires. Why November? You’re out of awards season and in a month custom-made for a quick escape before holiday madness begins. From Thanksgiving to the American Film Market (AFM), you still get a real sense of Hollywood.
You’ll have about 10 hours of daylight per day to explore Los Angeles in November. Move from your We-Ho city life packed with modern art, A-lister restaurants and hip boutiques (or famous backdrop walls for your instashots), followed by long lazy days at the beach in Venice, or further out to Malibu.
AIMEE STYLE: Aimee Song has got that effortless Cali cool girl look down. Think floaty dresses with boots and pops of colour via her bags and shoes. Just insert lived-in denim to complete the look.
ITALY: GET THE LOOK with @chiaraferragni
Concentrate on Southern Italy for their, food festivals, truffle and chestnut fairs, and vino novella festivals (new wine). Take a slice of the timeless Italian lifestyle (sans tourist), café and bar hopping, enjoying coffees, hot chocolates and aperitivi.
Towards the Central, the città d’arte (art cities), such as Rome, Florence or Naples are open for you, with access to the best hotels and galleries. Or head to the North with Piemontese or the Dolomites to enjoy some of the best skiing experiences as November shows the start of snow season. Make sure to warm up with some homemade grappa.
CHIARA STYLE: Her closet is bold and adventurous but when Chiara’s back home in Italy she gets that bit braver… Do as Chiara does and toughen up playful prints with chunky black boots.
AUSTRALIA: GET THE LOOK with @tashoakley
Australia, but where?? November is probably as close as it gets to being perfect weather country-wide. Vino and meals are taken al fresco, outdoor music and food festivals pop up everywhere, and beaches across the country begin to buzz.
Explore the city in Sydney, pack your bikini for some of the most spectacular rainforest beaches in Cape Tribulation, satiate your cultural appetite with the cultural and architectural scene in Melbourne or take a roadtrip along the Great Ocean Road.
NATASHA STYLE: She’s the ultimate beach queen with the bod to match. In Tash’s Aussie armoury you’ll always find a suitcase jam-packed with self-tan, swimming costumes and to-die-for resort wear.
GERMANY: GET THE LOOK with @leoniehanne
Germany does Christmas markets like no-one else. Towards the end of November, they start opening up. Hamburg’s winter festival starts on November 3rd, and Munich and Ludwigsburg’s festivals get going on November 23rd, or Berlin, which is home to 60 Christmas markets.
From Riesling and Romans, to baroque and bratwurst, great food, museums, spas and bars, pack a jumper and your weekend will be complete.
LEONIE STYLE: She’s not home that often but when she is Leonie’s look is unashamedly feminine. Go for floaty dresses and high-impact florals and team your outfit with neutral, timeless accessories.
DENMARK: GET THE LOOK with @josefinehj
Copenhagen in November, in a word. Perfect. Regularly voted the happiest city in the world, and the creators of the word ‘hygge’, locals celebrate the season, adorn the city in a blaze of light to fend off the darkness and enjoy its streets, shops, cafes and eateries as if they didn’t have a care in the world.
And it should be at the top of every style seeker’s list with contemporary designers leading the city’s chic reputation. Not to mention, it’s social media heaven given its eminently Instagrammable streets and the supremacy of Danish design.
JOSEFINE STYLE: Think effortless chic. From tonal tailoring to leather to band tees, Josefine breathes Scandi cool into each and every piece. Keep it stripped back with killer accessories.
