Seductive Stays: The World’s Sexiest Hotel Bedrooms

Far from being places to just rest your head and take off again the next morning, hotel’s around the world have crafted the ultimate couple’s retreats in rooms you may never wish to leave.

Created to ignite lust and love, we’ve gathered our favourite enticing escapes for a weekend away. Designer furnishings, private champagne fridges, double-sized showers and tubs at the foot of the bed mean that these palaces of passion were made for sharing…

Make use of the ‘do not disturb’ sign with these packing must-haves. Made for hotel bedrooms and breakfasts in bed, compiled by fashion editor Lisa Haynes.

Sixty LES, New York

Sat right in the middle of the Lower East Side, this contemporary hotel has style in abundance. Sleek lines, monochrome furnishings and floor to ceiling windows set the mood for an exciting stay in in one of the world’s most popular couples getaway cities: NYC. Opt for the King Suite which has black lacquered walls and luxurious robes and towels. The hotel also has an exceptional spa and pool to luxuriate in before retiring to the boudoir.

Market Hotel, Barcelona

The Spanish city is a known lovers retreat, and hard to single out just one exceptionally seductive suite. However, the Market hotel is set right in the middle of chic Sant Antoni and exudes sophistication. Book into the Junior Suite which has a huge four poster bed, tub with room for two and a delightful private terrace.

Off Paris Seine Hotel, Paris

This ultra chic floating hotel is quite unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Sitting on Paris’ river, with a lap pool on the deck, this is an ideal spot to experience a weekend in the city of love.
The Designer Silver Suite has a mirrored ceiling over the bed and a bathtub built for two. The fiery Designer Sunset Suite is a tangerine dream with shiny copper touches. It also has a huge four-poster and bright orange bathtub! Whichever you opt for, both have stunning views over the Seine that will send pulses racing.

Aman, Venice

Just a glance at this magnificent palazzo will confirm why the Clooney’s chose this hotel for their wedding. Offering the utmost in romantic getaways, Aman Venice is ceiling to floor luxury. Contemporary furnishings complement authentic silk wall coverings, chandeliers, wood panelling, chinoiserie and painted ceilings, and most suites offer unparalleled views over the Grand Canal. For the ultimate in luxury, book into the Alcova Tiepolo suite with its mesmerisingly intricate, gold-touched plasterwork and ceiling fresco.

Coqui Coqui, Yucatán

Twin towers rising out of the jungle on your approach to this hotel will make your heart soar. The bedrooms are decorated in a simple yet sumptuous classic colonial style, with wrought iron four-posters and tassled throws that welcome you to bed. And if that doesn’t ignite passion then the views over the magical, ancient Mayan ruins certainly will.

Twin Farms, Barnard, Vermont

Remote. Bucolic. Rustic. Beautiful. The perfect recipe for a romantic stay in the wilds of New England that transforms throughout the year from a winter wonderland to a summer sanctuary. Twin Farms comprises suites, cottages, a lodge and farmhouse, decorated in all-American elegance, with lashings of natural wood and plush furnishings. True to the motif of whimsical surprises at Twin Farms, a Vermont clapboard exterior hides the exotic Moroccan scene within the Meadow Cottage room, complete with a tented fabric ceiling. The former country estate of author Sinclair Lewis and his journalist wife, this is a hideaway where the love story writes itself.

Old Clare Hotel, Sydney

The Abercrombie Suite is our choice as it combines not only vintage designer furniture and a freestanding bath next to the bed but there is also and modern open bathroom space. If you manage to pull yourself away from the bedroom, then this central area of Sydney, with its rich, varied history and architecture, has become one of the city’s coolest, with a huge choice for dozens of art galleries, production houses, graphic and fashion design studios, plus Sydney’s most exciting new restaurants, cafés and bars.

The Mandeville Hotel, London

The Terrace suite is CF’s choice for a romantic trip to London. The perfect balance between extravagance and simplicity, The Terrace Suite is amongst the most exclusive and sought after suites in London. Set over two floors, this lavish suite offers guests the privacy of a townhouse apartment-style space with its own entrance staircase, separate bedroom and sitting room area and huge terrace. Out on its generous outside space, take in the views together as you survey your kingdom (aka London).

Singita Lebombo, South Africa

Perched on the cliffside overlooking the N’wanetsi River, this bush retreat was simply made for lovers. With huge fireplaces, open showers and endless views over the striking Singita Kruger National Park, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were the only people on Earth… and if that’s not romance, we don’t know what is. Bold and contemporary, sculptural and organic, the light-filled lodge suites seem almost dropped from the sky into the untamed terrain of the South African Veld.

Uxua Casa, Bahia

They say authenticity is the greatest luxury, and a visit to Brazil’s picturesque Bahia is magic in its purest form. Ten lavish villas rise dramatically from the Brazilian jungle, inspiring wild, animalistic fantasy. If you can draw yourself away from the beautiful bedroom, then whiling away an afternoon in Uxua’s hammocks to the sound of lapping waves on the beach and tropical birdsong is sure to be an unforgettably romantic experience.
