Pasqua Salis Palimodde, 81:

“I love the cooking classes of traditional pasta that we offer. I think making and cooking pasta is our greatest heritage as an Italian and it’s important to pass this down to as many people as possible. If they are your own kids even better.”

Giovanna Palimodde, 53:

“For me, it’s the experience at Nido del Pane in the hotel. When I was creating the space with the aim to do a small restaurant where two women would prepare and cook bread and focaccia in front of our guests, I discovered that the tree that creates shade over the outdoor space was planted by my father on the day I was born, 50 years ago. I guess it was a good sign because this area is now the one that I love and appreciate the most.”

Camilla Crisponi, 24:

“I love the sunset at Mount Corrasi. It’s hard to describe such an incredible experience until you actually do it. It’s like the best view of your life, and it’s accompanied by our local wines and traditional Sardinian appetizers. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be in the world.”

“Watching and learning from locals making their daily fayre is what accentuates the most authentic of travel experiences. It’s at the heart of Italian culture and families and here you are engaging with the family at the heart of the hotel. This is right up there with must-dos at the hotel.”

Aubrey Daquinag @theloveassembly

“The coast to coast experience was a great highlight to explore more of what Sardinia had to offer. We went from the mountains to the sea and got time to relax at three different beaches. For lunch, we had a beautiful picnic on the beach prepared for us – charcuterie, cheese, fruit and of course red wine! It really felt like a local experience.”

Lisa Haynes @fashionbeautyed

“I always thought I was pretty creative – until I tried Su Gologone’s jewellery making class… Who knew so much skill and expertise went into making one little bracelet? The course took place at Le Botteghe d’Arte – one of my favourite parts of the hotel where the art and crafts studios combine into one bright, open-air white space that’s like a treasure trove of artefacts and jewellery. We curated our own pearls, beads and gems and then the teacher expertly guided us through the process until we ended up with a pretty bracelet each to take home.”
