Citizen Femme Hotlist: 26.06.19

This week’s hotlist is all about kicking off summer with reimagined classics. There’s a new contemporary twist to our much loved staples and we’ve turned our eye to some of the best examples you can get your hands on this week.

Summer is starting to heat up which means a beach holiday is probably in your near future. Set your sights on Spain’s laid-back Can Tres and travel there in style with the latest collection from Burberry that takes you back to its heritage roots. Stuck in the city, don’t worry we have you covered with extended tickets to London’s hottest exhibition. Afterwards you can wash it all down with a Negroni at Mele & Pere in celebration of Negroni Week and a light nibble at the trendiest deli London has to offer. It doesn’t get more classic than that!

GO HERE Extended Dior V&A Exhibition

If you’re like us and missed out on the chance to snag tickets to the famed designer’s exhibition at the V&A, you’re in luck. The museum has extended its run of Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams for seven more weeks and will be making a fresh batch of tickets available on the 15th of every month. A limited amount of tickets will also be available to purchase – in person – every day from 10 am. Don’t miss out on this second chance to see more than 500 coveted objects from the Dior archives up close, including the tulle gown Dior created for Princess Margret’s 21st birthday. A girl can dream, right?

SIP THIS Negroni Week at Mele & Pere

Ah, summer. The smell of fresh blooms, tanned legs basking in the warm breeze and refreshing cocktails to wash down the setting sun. In celebration of all things summer, Negroni Week has kicked off just in time for the warm weather.

Over 120 venues across London are participating in honour of the classic cocktail, mixing up different variations in an effort to raise money for charities around the world. Our top honours go to Soho’s Mele e Pere who have a delicious Negroni menu on offer. We might have tried a couple and washed it down with their delicious offerings of traditional Italian fare. Ok, it may have been more than just a couple.

BUY THIS The New Monogram Collection from Burberry

Created as an ode to its founder, Thomas Burberry, the new monogram collection from the British heritage brand takes every day luxury to a new level with its latest offering of athleisure and lifestyle goods. With its fancy TB monogram splashed all over it, Burberry has delivered a fresh, but classic take on your every day staples from hoodies to tote bags, track pants to beach towels. The collection even includes a yoga mat to keep you downward dogging in style. Having first debuted on the Spring/Summer 2019 runway, the entire collection is out now at select Burberry stores and will upgrade any airport look.

STAY HERE Can Tres, Formentera

Formentera is the smallest of Spain’s Balearic islands located in the Mediterranean Sea. Reachable by ferry from Ibiza, Formentera is the calm, relaxing little sister to the well known party island, renowned for its calm, clear waters and long stretches of white, sandy beaches. Located upon this tranquil island is Can Tres with its minimalistic, boho-chic design, Can Tres delivers a simple, pure and luxurious hiatus for anyone looking to escape the crowds this summer. Its uniquely designed, apartment style rooms are decorated with aromatic vegetation, earth-tone textiles and white linen, and each room features a stunning stone shower. Choose your room based on the environment you’re seeking and transport yourself to your own customised paradise.

EAT HERE The Sloane Street Deli

You normally wouldn’t see the CF team getting this excited about a deli, but when it comes from the group behind London’s The Ivy, Sexy Fish and J Sheekey, we perk up and pay attention. With views of Cadogan Square Gardens, SSD’s white washed interiors, marble tables and Parisian-style bistro chairs make the perfect setting to enjoy their classic, deli-style dishes with an Asian twist. There’s also a mouth-watering pastries and desserts counter full of everything from your classic lemon meringue tartlette, to the more adventurous Yuzu cheesecake. They’re currently only open during the day, breakfast and lunch included, leaving plenty of time to go back for that second pistachio croissant.
