Pack away the bikinis and unveil autumn’s new It coat because Fashion Month is (almost) in full swing.
So what if you haven’t got a ticket for the F-row for New York, London, Milan or Paris this September, you can still get a stylish piece of the action… This is the time to jump on the coolest collaborations and most coveted pieces via our Hotlist.
Whether you want to swing the latest Loewe Paris bag down the Champs-Élysées, or stay in the designer maximalist v’s minimalist hotel suite, it’s all here in this week’s super-chic guide.
Wear your favourite fashion capital on your arm… Meet’s Loewe’s latest It bag – the Postal – which joins the label’s iconic bag club: the Gate, Puzzle and Hammock. While most are served up plain, the new Postal city bags (£1,750) feature bold cityscapes that street style photographers won’t be able to resist. So far, Loewe’s city bags currently only tick off the fashion capitals in London or Paris (sorry, Milan and New York). Yes and oui, we’ll take both.
Magpie alert. Want to wear bling like the fashion pack? Jewellery brand Monica Vinader has collaborated with Caroline Issa aka fashion editor, style icon, CEO and publisher at TANK (award for most stylish CV, ever?). The collection launches on September 9th, priced from £125-525, and we’re a little obsessed… Expect colourful gemstones dripping from gold chains and earrings. The kyanite and orange carnelian is our favourite combo.
Are you a full-on maximalist or die-hard minimalist? Split your style allegiance and sleep in the pop-up ‘So Extra So Chic’ suite at The Curtain Hotel. The world’s first half maximalist (think clashing prints) and half minimalist (hello, super-muted tones) suite is designed by celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek and minimalist fashionista Kaitlyn Ham to appeal to both wardrobe tastes. Choose your side and wear your best maximalist v’s minimalist outfits #whoworeitbest.
Feeling the Italian vibes for Milan Fashion Week? Get a glam blow-dry to match the supermodels with this new autumn/winter travel kit from Alfa Italia (£44.95), containing a mini dryer and irons in chic carry case. Inspired by the Lazio region in Italy, there are two new shades that take their colour palette inspo from Italian desserts, Berry Tarte (deep red) and Crème Caramel (muted tan). Delicious.
Move over Rihanna – the singer isn’t the only A-lister playing womenswear designer. Actress Kate Hudson has unveiled her new sustainable HappyxNature collection exclusively at Selfridges. With a bohemian edge, it’s exactly what you’d expect to find in the Hollywood actress’s wardrobe – and it’s eco-conscious, too. “I’ve always wanted to start a ready-to-wear brand,” Kate says. “But in this climate, there’s a question mark about creating something new. I knew it had to be as conscious as possible.”
