Citizen Femme Hotlist: 05.11.19

November is now – and there’s a lot happening before the seasonal rush.

From the new London fauna-filled restaurant to couture-style dresses you can get on the high street, these are the things that we’re loving this week…

WEAR THIS Giambattista Valli x H&M collection

Nobody does a designer high street collaboration quite like H&M. Famed for his dreamy red carpet dresses, Giambattista Valli’s H&M collection drops on 7 November and planet fashion is on countdown. Expect Giambattista signatures like tulle en masse, ruffles-on-ruffles, intricate beadwork and accentuated waists – as seen on the likes of mega-influencers Kendall Jenner and Chiara Ferragni in the campaign. Shot by iconic duo Mert and Marcus, the designer’s campaign is set in decadent settings in Giambattista Valli’s hometown of Rome. Start your wish list now, or seriously regret it.

EAT HERE 14 Hills

Spot the new dining trend… Outdoors is the new indoors. If plants are your thing, put 14 Hills on your restaurant radar. Dubbed the ‘forest in the sky’, it’s the new £5million London hangout with more than 100 trees set to open in mid-November in the heart of the City. Located one level below the largest public roof garden in London at the top of 120 Fenchurch Street, the outdoors-meets-indoors restaurant has an evergreen canopy across the ceiling featuring 2,500 plants. Side note: the menu is not plant-based… Expect modern British cooking with Gallic influences from French-born executive chef Thomas Piat.

RECYCLE THIS Summer Fridays

Newsflash: every travel junkie’s skin saviour, Summer Friday, has launched their first ever non-mask product – the CC Me Serum, starring two super-powered forms of Vitamin C. The beauty brand has also started an empties global recycling program – customers can send back five Summer Friday empties to receive a mini Jet Lag Mask (28g). Simply email [email protected] for a free postal label to start your skincare recycling.

BOOK THIS The Pre-Raphaelite Sisters

Want jewellery with meaning behind it? Step forward British jewellery designer Dinny Hall who has created two collections for London’s National Portrait Gallery to mark the launch of their ‘Pre-Rapaelite Sisters’ exhibition that celebrates female influence. Inspired by the collection, two painterly motifs have been reworked, pared-back and translated into cool, contemporary jewellery by Dinny. The 21 pieces are available in ‘Sunbeam’ 22k gold vermeil, or ‘White Petals’ sterling silver, from £60.

GO HERE AFTERBeauty

Beauty addicts have a new hangout in town. Opening its doors on London’s Piccadilly this November, AFTERBeauty is the new beauty playground to hit the high street. The beauty-orientated space has more than 5000 beauty products from 140 brands across the globe – but also immersive spaces to discover them. The five-storey townhouse features AFTERBeauty Spa Basement, Make-up Playground and Nail Nirvana as well as Disco Stairs (who needs a lift, anyway?) and event spaces. You know where to find us this November…
