We’re in the mood for romance this February. Whether it’s a Valentine’s, or a Galentine’s, there is plenty to fall in love with.
For your beau, buddy or blind date, this week’s hotlist is for every day of February, not just the 14th.
WEAR THIS Tom Ford Rose Prick
If you prick me, do I not bleed? Well you may bleed Tom Ford’s latest fragrance, Rose Prick.
In the words of Ford himself, “This is inspired by my own rose garden, Rose Prick is a wild bouquet of intoxicating and rare hybrids. A trilogy of Rose de Mai, Turkish and Bulgarian roses. Sharp and pristine. Warm and sensual. A heady bouquet of blooms in pink perfection.”
Contained in a matte opaque rose pink, TOM FORD PRIVATE BLEND bottle is capped with a matte black metal inset, the 50ml flacon has the sleek, architectural look of a chess piece.
A rose by any other name wouldn’t be Tom Ford.
GO HERE National Archives 'With Love'
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, National Archives opens its With Love exhibition, featuring love letters from within its record. Immerse yourself in the changing expressions of love through history in this free exhibition. Peruse romantic ramblings from a queen, a prime minister and other figures, telling stories of heartbreak, passion and disappointment. Kleenex at the ready, we think.
EAT HERE Louis Vuittaon, Osaka maison
Who doesn’t love Louis Vuitton. Well, they are now putting on their chef hat.
This February, the French fashion house opens both a café and restaurant in its new Osaka, Japan maison. This is the first time the brand is venturing into culinary waters.
Both of the inevitable hotspots, Le Café V and Sugalabo V, will feature dishes from famed chef Yosuke Suga, once the protégé of the 32-Michelin star-earner Joël Robuchon. Le Café V will be housed on the fourth (and top) floor of the store. There’s also a cocktail bar and outdoor terrace, making it an ideal post-shopping spree spot come spring.
STAY HERE Ser Casasandra
Want to get away from it all? Ser CasaSandra, on the inherently romantic Island of Holbox, Mexico, will whisk you and your loved one away into a noise free world surrounded by turquoise waters, white sand beaches, while you sip on mojitos in coconuts.. Their romantic getaway package includes massages, dinner, sunrise yoga, and best of all? Cinema Paradise enjoyed under the canopy of the stars.
