This Week CF Loves

Citizen Femme Hotlist: 30.11.20

This week on CF Loves we’re feeling festive. V festive. In fact, you’d swear a Christmas Emporium had taken up shop on our landing page… and, you know – it sort of has.

GIFT THIS Roland Mouret, fabric wrapping

The old adage “it’s the thought that counts” rings especially true when that thought has been well wrapped. Thinking of unique and more sustainable ways to wrap gifts, Roland Mouret will be offering a limited-edition Furoshiki fabric wrapping on gift orders this Christmas. Using Roland Mouret fabrics from previous seasons, the gift-wrapping service is available both online and in store for 100 shoppers. A gift that keeps on giving, the limited-edition Furoshiki-style fabric wrapping can also be repurposed – check the Roland Mouret website for Furoshiki tutorials and learn how to reuse these fabrics yourself.

DECORATE WITH THIS Kitten Grayson Flowers, Zingara baubles

Kitten Grayson Flowers Christmas Emporium is open for business, stocking and delivering everlasting wreaths and Zingara baubles on a weekly basis. Respecting the studio’s guiding principle on sustainability, the wreaths and baubles are made with dried flowers and foliage in order to be everlasting. We’re particularly smitten with the studio’s flower baubles – made with dried helichrysum and inspired by the nomad, the free spirit – which look beautiful suspended from the ceiling. Alternatively, Kitten Grayson suggest foraging a fallen branch from a local park or woodland to display the baubles. Lovely.

ATTEND THIS Web Summit

The world’s largest technology conference, according to the Financial Times, is going fully virtual (for this year at least).  Web Summit, which has been held in Lisbon since 2016, brings together the people and companies redefining the global tech industry, from politicians and investors to founders and media. This year,  the three-day event will be hosted online only, broadcasted to 100,000 attendees in what will be the summit’s biggest event to date. Running from Wednesday 2 – Friday 4 December, we’re particularly excited to hear from tennis champion Serena Williams, Goop’s Gwyneth Paltrow, Arianna Huffington, Honest founder and CEO, Jessica Alba and the Jane Goodall… though, with 800+ online speakers to engage with this year, our list of “must see” speakers is likely to grow and grow and grow.

BOOK THIS Zannier Hotels Bai San Ho

Good news! Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô is set to open its doors on 1 December 2020. Hidden away from the main tourist trail, the hotel rests in the heart of a 98-hectare natural site plotted on an impressive one-kilometre long beach in Phu Yen, Vietnam. With untouched coastline and peaceful surroundings guaranteed, Bãi San Hô has made numerous appearances in our travel daydreams. If this is where you choose to spend your hard-earned vacation days, the hotel’s 71 spacious villas – each built to resemble three different Vietnamese architectural styles – are certain to impress. Similarly impressive is Bà Hai, the hotel’s traditional Vietnamese restaurant. CF’s Top Tip: Head here for your first taste of Phu Yen. If you’re the kind of traveller who likes to do more than just sleep and eat, you’ll find days fill up quickly here with  a variety of activities – from the resort’s well-serviced spa and exclusive excursions to enjoy.

COOK WITH THIS Wild Radish, Christmas Box

Want to avoid the stress and strain of cooking for the whole family this Christmas? Wild Radish has the perfect solution. Their Christmas Box provides everything you’ll need for a knock-out Christmas dinner, stocked with all of the ingredients and the recipes (from some of the UK’s leading chefs) to make a delicious main course and dessert. A bottle of champagne and some little surprises are also included (it is Christmas after all). Choose your party size (four or six people) and then your preference for fish, meat or vegetarian.

Based on your selection, (we’ve gone for “meat”) you’ll dine on a menu of roasted tomahawk aged beef rump with a truffled walnut pesto, stuffed field mushrooms, stout glazed onions, crushed celeriac, hasselback potatoes and cavolo nero (or something similarly delicious). Orders must be placed by midnight on the 16th December for deliveries between 21st – 23rd December. Get to it.
