CF Editors Pick Their Favourite Beauty Products This Month

All the hottest February beauty drops we are coveting…

Beauty products drop at a dizzying rate, but there’s no need to feel overwhelmed. At CF we have done the hard work for you: curating an edit of the products to really get excited about. So, if you are looking for romantic scents,  hard-hitting eye creams, or the product to create the fluffy brow trend currently sweeping Instagram, keep scrolling…

THE NEW ROSE SCENT

The rose is an iconic motif used in the maximalist ready-to-wear and couture fashion of Dolce & Gabbana, and now it is the inspiration behind a new addition to the Dolce bouquet of fragrances. Dolce Rose is a feminine and fresh Eau de Toilette, the mood-booster we need in the lead up to spring. The scent is a fruity floral, with top notes of mandarin and redcurrants, a rich rose heart, and grounding notes of sandalwood and musks for a romantic quality. The bottle will sit pretty on your bathroom shelf too.

THE MANUKA MASK

In the mood for a super-nourishing face mask with the indulgent texture of honey? Seed to Skin call this a ‘gentle powerhouse of a mask’ and I’m inclined to agree. This tiny pot really packs a punch, with 55% manuka honey – known for its remedial properties to heal skin, replenish dry complexions, and fight bacteria – it's great for any acne breakouts. Used three-times weekly, skin is nourished and plumped, with a renewed glow.

THE ALTERNATIVE RETINOL

Retinol is the superhero product when it comes to ageing, but must be approached with caution for those with a sensitive complexion. Thankfully, Omorovicza has found the solution with the new Midnight Renewal Serum. It delivers all the effects of retinol: smoothness, even skin tone, reduced fine lines, and wrinkles, alongside boosted elasticity, but using retinol’s gentler sister – the patented Retinal. This is 11 times more effective than classic retinol, whilst gentler on skin. What's not to love?

THE GLOW GETTER

You know that glowing feeling, when you’ve just had a facial and your skin feels lit from within? Whilst we can't bottle it up, as much as we wish, it can now be replicated with the Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight – now available in a new peachy shade. The tinted gel glides on seamlessly to deliver a dewy radiance and warmth.

THE SUPERCHARGED EYE CARE

Lockdown living and endless Zooms have had us scrutinising our faces more closely. In this mask-wearing era, our eyes garner the most attention and we are super aware of those pesky little wrinkles and dark circles around eyes that just won't budge. Happily, a potent cocktail of hard-hitting ingredients in Natura Bisse’s Inhibit Eye Fluid is a night time solution to combat ageing and signs of stress and fatigue. With Octamioxl-6 Advanced, retinol, hyaluronic acid, niancinamide, and darutoside, wrinkles are blurred, under-eyes are springier and plumped, eyelids are taughtened, and dark circles are minimised. The result? A wide-awake look.

THE LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION

The search for a perfect foundation can sometimes feel unsurmountable: we want sufficient coverage whilst letting natural beauty shine through; a dewy glow in a long-lasting formula; and natural ingredients without compromising on quality. The Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation by Guerlain has already won a coterie of fans since its 2019 launch, but this new High Perfection formula will have fans falling over themselves for the higher coverage and longer-wearing formula that still gives the same second-skin feeling, with 96% naturally-derived ingredients. Skin feels mattified but luminous and radiant.

THE LUXE SHADOW PALETTE

I don't think anyone does a smoky eye quite like Tom Ford. The Body Heat quad comprises highly pigmented, super-blendable eyeshadows in shimmering champagne to deep russet tones. Housed in a limited-edition pink case taken from the Rose Prick fragrance, now I'm even more enamoured. Perfect for self-gifting this Valentine’s Day.

THE SUPERCHARGED BODYCARE

U Beauty, founded by fashion influencer, Tina Craig, quickly garnered cult status as a clean beauty brand, aimed at streamlining and simplifying overly faffy skincare regimes. Now the brand is paying the same due dilligence to bodycare with the new Sculpt Arm Compound. Using the same 'siren' encapsulation technology as the brand's facial formulas, this body serum uses retinol and antioxidants to optimise normal cell turnover, smoothing the skin on your arm, combating fluid retention, and tightening up loose skin.

THE DAILY SUPPLEMENTS

Selecting the right combination of supplements can be a minefield. Happily, Wild Nutrition has taken the hard work out for you with the new Daily Essentials range. Catering to women's busy lifestyles, Wild Nutrition appreciates that daily nutritional needs can sometimes take a backseat, and works hard to fill in the gaps to keep you in tip-top shape. Each nifty packet is perfect to transport on-the-go and contains pure strength Omega 3 to sharpen brain activity, Vitamin D to optimise immune system function, and Daily Multi Nutrients to promote healthy hormone cycles and ensure you are firing on all cylinders.

THE INSTA-BROW WAX

Anastasia Beverly Hills is my go-to for brows; trust me, the Brow Definer is pure magic. Now, there's a new product to add to the repetoire. With brow appointments curtailed for the time being, it's high time to try the fluffy brow trend sweeping Instagram. The pleasingly sticky wax is warmed in hands, then applied in upward strokes to sculpt and define for a full-bodied look. It's very off-duty model.

THE CBD FACE MILK

We love Paula's Choice for its hard-hitting, no nonsense approach to results-driven skincare. The latest launch harnesses the soothing nature of skincare to target ageing and stressed skin. CBD Skin Transformative Treatment Milk contains full-spectrum CBD and replenishing non-fragrant plant oils to minimise sensitivity and improve clarity. We love the weightless texture which leaves skin vibrant, calmer, and youthful-looking.

THE HOME FRAGRANCE

Beyond filling our wardrobes, Reiss has turned their attention to creating discerning fragrances for the home and our necks too with four genderless transporting scents available in both perfume and candle form. We are particularly fond of 'Sienna Heat'. It's warm and rich with amber, tonka bean, fig, and italian bergamot.

THE CULT SERUM

John Bell & Croyden is a London Institution, it's the royal family's appointed pharmacist didn't you know? It's also our go-to for the best in health, wellness, and luxury skincare. As of this month, the pharmacy stocks a carefully curated edit of cult US beauty brand Sunday Riley, both in-store and online.

With spring around the corner, our thoughts are on achieving our glowiest complexion yet, so will be stocking up on the much-lauded C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum. In a silky texture, it instantly delivering a slightly pearlised sheen that lasts all day long, whilst working hard behind the scenes to reduce wrinkles, even skin tone, and restore bounce.

THE SEDUCTIVE PILLOW MIST

Love may very well be in the air this Valentine's Day thanks to ESPA's Connect Pillow Mist, which can be sprayed onto linens, the body, and into the air to create a sensual aura. The essential oils of ylang ylang, patchouli, jasmine, and sandalwood, have been carefully selected for their aphrodisiac properties, and to promote a feeling of closeness and wellbeing.

THE SALON HAIR AT HOME

We love it when a new launches comes and sweeps us of our feet. Such is the case with UNDONE: the new product line from celebrity and royal hairdresser, George Northwood. The range of hair products and tools allows women to replicate his signature style of effortless, modern, and natural looking hair – think Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Alexa Chung, who George counts as clients. A few years in the making, this is the result of his focus group of Editors and cliental, responding to their desires and needs for high-perfoming products. With vegan formulas, concerns such as flat hair and dryness, to pollution and breakages are addressed in shampoos, conditioners, creams, and sprays. We're stocking up!
