This Week CF Loves

This Week CF Loves: 01.03.21

Entering the month of March with all the enthusiasm of a six-year-old, we’re feeling more excitable and optimistic than we have in ages.

With new seasonal produce providing a welcomed mix-up to our repertoire of recipes, we’ve scouted out the chicest little shopper to tow home provisions for our Roman Feast in (while daydreaming about the Italian hotel bar we can’t wait to venture to later this spring). We’re also resetting some of our health goals, partaking in a virtual retreat with ARTAH and signing up to Glorious, a membership platform that elevates women’s sport.

SIGN UP TO THIS Glorious

Newly launched Glorious is a membership platform that elevates women’s sport to a whole new level, through the lens of art and culture. The female-focused online club runs on a subscription basis, costing just £4.99 a month (with a percentage of your membership fee going to The Women’s Sport Trust). As a member you’ll enjoy weekly Friday drops of inspiring stories from award-winning writers, photographers, illustrators, artists, and filmmakers, as well as exclusive offers and events.

SHOP (WITH) THIS Longchamp, Le Pliage Filet

Joining forces with Normandy-based FILT – France’s oldest manufacturer of net shopping bags – the simple grocery shopper gets a style elevation, courtesy of Longchamp. Longchamp’s new fishnet bag has become something of an international must-have accessory (though net bags have been part of Parisian dress for decades), combining the brand’s famous Le Pliage brown Russian leather flap-fastening and handles with contrasting netting (choose from ecru, black, khaki, blue, orange, or powder). Compact, stylish, and highly practical… what’s not to love.

BOOKMARK THIS Don't Worry Bar at Le Sirenuse

Founded in 1951 by the Sersale family, Le Sirenuse has become one of Italy’s most-loved boutique hotels. In celebration of its 70th anniversary, the feted hotel has created the Don’t Worry Bar (due to open this summer). Crowned by Martin Creed’s neon instillation ‘Don’t Worry’, which hangs from the ceiling of the adjacent room, the snug speakeasy is a revamp of an old-school hotel bar – think impeccably dressed barmen mixing classic cocktails on a gold leaf, walnut, and onyx-flanked bar. In our minds, we’re already ordering negronis and raising a glass to good times ahead, no worries, and a memorable sojourn on the Amalfi Coast.

PUCKER UP WITH THIS BYREDO, Lipstick in 'Red Armchair'

A punchy red pout immediately ups the ante in the beauty stakes – whether worn with an elegant black evening gown or casual jeans and a slouchy mohair jumper. A confidence booster for some, many can attest to the glee felt when landing on the perfect hue for you. Byredo’s ‘Red Armchair’ has given us reason to jump for joy – it’s colour rich, with a matte finish (that doesn’t dry the lips), and comes cased in a sleek mixed-metal curvilinear sleeve. Echoing the shape of bamboo, it’s peak chic.

BOOK THIS ARTAH, Virtual Recharge

Launched in summer 2019, ARTAH is a health brand specialising in transformative programmes and immersive retreats that combine fitness and functional nutrition with supportive, restorative self-care practices. Now, they’re hosting a virtual retreat – a five- day digital programme designed to promote energy, weight loss, and wellbeing in an immersive, community-focused experience. The programme, designed by ARTAH founder and former Psycle CEO Rhian Stephenson, consists of a welcome pack worth over £275 (with treats from Seedlip, Fable & Mane, The Upside, Apothem et al.), a five-day menu with recipes and shopping list and pre- and post-retreat guidelines. You’ll also be able to partake in a series of yoga and barre classes, breath work sessions, and a sculpting facial workshop. Running from Wednesday 10 – Sunday 14 March, limited spaces are available. Booking closes on Tuesday 2 March.
