'Til The Last Drop #4

Welcome to ‘Til The Last Drop: a new column in which I, CF Beauty Editor, Olivia Bennett, share my bi-monthly review of a favourite cult product that I (truly) use to the last drop…

I’m messaged by friends and family, at all hours of the day, with recommendation requests for everything from “the budget gel moisturiser that works with combination skin” to “the hard-hitting eye cream that will make Botox a last resort”, and queries on “whether X, Y, and Z from the current trending brand is REALLY worth the hype”.

Such incessant inquiries sparked the idea for this column, where I’ll now be covering best-selling names alongside under-the-radar brands to note. You’ll hear about blow-the-budget products that live up to their hefty price tag and the purse-friendly steals which I unashamedly turn to time and again.

No need to text me, I’ll be sharing all my intel with you right here every other week. Tune in.

We’ve been told enough times we should be wearing SPF every day, no ifs, no buts. But (sorry skin!) all too often textures are claggy and cloying making it damn near impossible to layer under the foundations and powders we use to mask imperfections, redness et al. Which is why Dr David Jack London's All Day Long moisturiser can only be described as a mini miracle in a bottle.

A silky multifaceted moisturiser that not only sinks in like a dream with no chalky residue, but has with a whopping SPF 50 broad-spectrum protection and long-lasting hydration. There’s also a bunch of skin-loving AHAs as well as citric and lactic acid to gently increase cell turnover and keep you looking fresh and youthful, whilst protecting from further skin damage. The subtle mineral-based tint means you can forgo your usual foundation, and skin is left with an immediate dewy radiance you won’t be able to stop admiring.
