This Week CF Loves: 10.05.2021

The number one non-alcoholic rosé to sip on this summer; the fragrance transporting us to our favourite hotel on the French Riviera; plus the return of the afternoon activity beloved by the fashion set… it’s go go go this week on CF.

SNIFF THIS Dior, Eden-Roc

A scented ode to a sacred place, Eden-Roc by Dior is an intensely radiant fragrance. Celebrating the unparalleled beauty of the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, aka the ‘Grand Dame’ of the French Riviera, this considered perfume is wholly transportive. A spritz on the wrist is akin to diving into the Mediterranean Sea – or at least serves as a rather luxurious holdover while we await our return to Cap d’Antibes. The fragrance unfurls salty olfactory notes, with hints of maritime pine trees and citrus.

EAT THIS Pret-a-Portea, The Berkeley

Prêt-à-Portea is back with a Spring/Summer 21 season showcasing couture cakes inspired by designers ranging from Valentino to Tod’s. In the sumptuous surrounds of The Berkeley, nibble on Donatella Versace’s ocean-inspired cocktail dress, reimagined as a coconut darquoise and mango confit encased with exotic fruit mousse, topped with a shimmering sugar starfish for a final flourish, or take a bite out of Anna Wintour’s sharp (and perfectly iced) bob. Offering a contemporary spin to teatime, Paris-based Isabel Marant, US label LoveShackFancy, and Halpern each make their Prêt-à-Portea debuts this season. Tea is served from 1pm – 5.30pm every day, priced from £60 per person.

SHOP THIS Le Hat

Hats are made for poolside lounging and golden-hour glam, but packing them almost takes the joy out of sporting one while abroad. Rather than sauntering through the airport with a three-stack of fedoras on our head (been there, done that), we’re looking to Le Hat for a smarter solution. Easy to pack, easy to store, and easy to carry, Le Hat’s are handwoven by artisans in Italy, and are designed to roll and fold easily – perfect for travelling.

INCORPORATE THIS Nordic Knots, Art Deco Rug Collection

Stockholm-based, family run rug company Nordic Knots new collection ‘Art Deco’ is inspired by Swedish Grace – a term coined in 1925 when Swedish designers were praised for combining the best of neo-classicism with art deco without neglecting their refined aesthetic. The collection takes its inspiration from noteworthy Stockholm buildings and architects, both in terms of form and colour. The line’s blue temple-like Concert Hall by Ivar Tengbom is a CF favourite. Comprised of geometric shapes and rich colours, consider these an artistic injection for your living space.

DRINK THIS Matthew Williamson X Jukes Cordialities

Perhaps the most delicious non-alcoholic ‘rosé’ we’ve sipped, Jukes 8 is becoming a permanent fixture in Jukes Cordialities’ product line-up. To mark the occasion, designer Matthew Williamson and Jukes Cordialities have come together to create a striking new box in a pink and orange palm design, inspired by the colour and subtle flavours of Jukes 8. With the same flavour silhouette as fine wine, minus the alcohol or calories, Jukes 8 is a v welcomed addition to any drinks cabinet, cocktail trolley, or home bar.

CF Top Tip: The Jukes 8 perfect serve is to take a large wine glass and mix with chilled still water.
