This Week CF Loves: 07.06.2021

This week on CF we’re obsessing over our skincare regime overhaul (courtesy of Lion/ne) and dreaming of a summertime sojourn on the French Riveria.

Until that trip south is possible, we’re biding our time with not one, but two, of our favoured French exports, courtesy of our choice fashion maisons. The first: Dior’s rooftop pop-up at Selfridge’s Alto. The second: the perfect summer rosé, compliments of Domaine de l’Ile – the Provençal wine estate, owned by Maison CHANEL.

TRY THIS Lionn/ne

Looking to up your skincare game? Lion/ne is a good place to start. A full-service skin support system, Lion/ne offers online consultations with trained skin mentors to help you overhaul your regime. Frustrated by the contradictory advice and constant launches of new, supposedly ‘must-have’ products, Lion/ne founders set about creating a mid-point service – somewhere between the beauty counter and an aesthetician’s office – that offered customers a more considered approach.

How it works: providing impartial recommendations, Lion/ne’s virtual skin mentors are assigned to you based on a number of factors, which are determined during your comprehensive Q&A – topics range from lifestyle to budget. After you’ve submitted your Q&A, your online ‘skinterview’ will be booked in, lasting for approx. 45 minutes. During this session, you’ll receive a skin profile, complete with the products to acquire (listed in terms of priority so you don’t have to purchase everything all at once), plus a calendar to track your routine (particularly helpful when incorporating something like a retinol into your regime for the first time). A reassessment after three months is advised – any questions in the meantime, ask your skin mentor via the online chat service.

DRINK THIS Domaine de l’Ile, 2020 Vintage Rosé

Struggling to choose your favourite rosé for the summer? May we draw your attention to Domaine de l’Ile. The Provençal wine estate, owned by Maison CHANEL, boasts a delicious 2020 vintage rosé which is taut, aromatic, and delicate. With flavours that will transport you to the Med – more specifically, the island of Porquerolles – the domaine’s vineyards are certified as organic and produce energetic, characterful wines. While we continue to dream of trips to magical Hyères were content with a taste of the place – to whet our appetites, you might say – courtesy of  Domaine de l’Ile.

BOOK THIS Dior at Alto, Selfridges

Get thee to Alto, the rooftop restaurant at Selfridges, where Dior has taken over the kitchen as part of their Dioriviera pop-up. Until 30 September, the space will be dressed in Dior’s charming toile de Jouy. Inspired by the sunny colours of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dioriviera collection, expect a breezy seaside atmosphere and riviera-chic vibes. The menu at Dior at Alto is composed of dishes selected by the fashion house, including some of Monsieur Dior’s favourites. Once your mains have been selected, turn your attention to the drinks page of the menu, where you’ll find a tempting array of elixirs.

SHOP THIS Bianca, ViBi Venezia

Do your feet a favour and slip into Bianca slippers by ViBi Venezia this summer. These Venetian pumps are inspired by traditional Furlanes. Made in Italy, and available in a multitude of colours, we’re fond of these go-with-anything white cotton canvas ones. Artisanal and chic, ViBi’s are high on our shopping list for our next Venice sojourn.

BOOKMARK THIS The Maybourne Riviera

Maybourne Hotel Group is coming to the French Côte d’Azur. Genial! Plotted on a rocky peninsula high above the picturesque French town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, The Maybourne Riviera is strikingly modern – the exterior has been designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Boasting dramatic panoramic views of the coastline, taking in Cap-Martin and Italy to the west and Monte Carlo to the east, there’s nowhere we’d rather kick off our summer 2021 (which just so happens to coincide with the hotel’s launch). The stylishly chic Maybourne Riviera Beach Club is an added draw.
