This Week CF Loves: 12.07.2021

Pining for a holiday to Italy, France, or further afield? Us too. To abate our travel appetite, we’re indulging in aperitivo hour all week.

We’ll be setting the table for family and friends aided by Summerill & Bishop x Liberty’s latest linens collection, topped with La DoubleJ’s stylish wares. For the flowers, we’re looking to Thyme’s latest exhibition of botanical installations and native flower pressings for inspiration.

For this and more, read our hotlist in full.

Caryn Hibbert, Creative Director and Founder of Thyme, and Melissa Richardson and Amy Fielding, Co-Directors of JamJar Flowers share a love of wild spaces and native flora and fauna. Celebrating the beauty of Thyme’s surroundings, they’ve put together an exhibition of botanical installations, consisting of a series of large-scale artworks, along with JamJar’s signature native flower pressings. Drop by the sweet display between 10.00AM and 5.00PM any day – there is no entry fee, however booking time slots is essential (if you’re a resident of Thyme, you will be permitted access throughout your stay). Running until 12 September, 2021, the Tithe Barn at Thyme, with its soaring ceilings and ancient beams will be masquerading as a gallery space and artwork on display will be available for purchase.

LIGHT THIS NETTE Candle

Add a little extra oomph to your apartment with NETTE – a non-toxic coconut-soy wax blend candle available in a yummy array of sophisticated scents. Founded by former fashion and beauty editor Carol Han, these all-natural candles are vegan, clean burning, and sustainable. Tick. Tick. And tick. Refusing to use paraffins (which are so bad for the environment), NETTE is the first truly clean candle brand on the market – its products are best summed up as a “dream burn.” Its new collection is even more alluring (if that’s possible), collaborating with master perfumer Celine Barel (the nose behind fragrances from Aesop, Loewe, Jo Malone, and Lancome) on their latest offering. What’s more, the chic glass tumblers that house NETTE’s candles are hand blown by a family owned factory in Italy with a 75 year heritage, and the candle boxes and labels are made of 100% recycled shoe boxes, using non synthetic vegetable-based ink. Oh, and for every order placed one tree is planted. Yep, they’re pretty good all round!

VISIT THIS London’s Dry Gin No.3 x The Hari

Until Thursday 30 September London’s Dry Gin No.3 are taking up residence at Hari’s Garden Terrace. Pop along for an afternoon pick-me up or after work drinks – the space is designed for all weathers (note The Garden Terrace’s retractable roof) so no scuppered plans are a non-issue. Throughout the summer takeover, the No.3 menu will offer a number of bespoke cocktails including a Mediterranean Martini combining basil-infused No.3 gin with Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth and a garnish of fried basil leaves (this one’s our favourite) and a punchy Negroni with No.3 gin, Campari, Vermut Lastau, and Prosecco, topped with orange foam. So, meet you in SW1 at 5ish?

ORDER THIS Summerill & Bishop x Liberty

We’re crushing hard on Summerill & Bishop latest collection, Le Marché aux Fleurs. Taking the unofficial title of ‘designers of the world’s most beautiful table linens’ their latest offering is inspired by founders June Summerill & Bernadette Bishop’s enduring love of visiting flower markets in the South of France and by the flowers that embellish the English countryside. Launching this Wednesday, 14 July, expect painterly scenes of pansies, buttercups, hollyhocks, cosmos, pink daisies, and forget-me-nots, arranged in delightful maximalism across tablecloths (available in three sizes) and napkins – all in a 100% pure linen. Note to shoppers: the collection – Le Marché aux Fleurs – will be available exclusively from Summerill & Bishop and Liberty. Don’t miss out.
