Festivals are back! And these are all centred around wellness to nourish both the body and the mind.
If you are feeling a little sluggish still post-lockdown, our edit of wellness festivals will provide the antidote – a festival experience, without a throbbing headache the next day. From single day festivals in the centre of London, to weekend-long retreats in the restorative countryside, these are some wellness-centric events to have on your radar.
Usher in autumn with a three-day wellness retreat at Daylesford. Staying in the luxury Daylesford cottages the schedule consists of indulgent spa treatments in collaboration with Bamford, meditation, crystal sound healing, yoga, and trips to the Bamford Wellness Spa with access to the pool, sauna, and steam room. In addition, there is a floristry course, session with resident nutritionist Rhaya Jordon, and plenty of downtime to walk around the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Refuel with a trip to The Wild Rabbit and enjoy dinner at the chef’s table at the award-winning Cookery School too. There’s also the option to extend your stay, which we have no doubt you’ll want to.
SEA CONTAINERS WELLNESS FESTIVAL
South Bank-based London hotel, Sea Containers has launched their inaugural wellness festival this summer with a host of classes to help you rediscover the joy of movement after the sluggishness of lockdown. The aim is to leave guests refreshed and revitalised, whilst encouraging balance. On the 15 August participants of Treat Yourself can partake in a 5km run along the River Thames, an energising yoga session, and BUDDHABOX boxing class, before winding down for the week ahead with a journalling masterclass and a melodic sound bath.
If a little more indulgence is your thing, book onto the Health and Hedonism workshop, taking place on 4 October. The ultimate detox to retox: a fast-paced power yoga session is chased with a glass of wine and chocolate whilst enjoying the expansive views of London from the Sea Containers rooftop bar.
