SHOP THIS Bettina Ceramica

Bettina Ceramica – two words certain to make design lovers drool. Founded by Natalie Sytner, this modern edit of artisan-made ceramics from across Italy is the perfect addition to any interior. Bettina Ceramica’s collection of artefacts, ceramics, and objets made by artisans in Tuscany, Sicily, and Puglia, are akin to the most sophisticated souvenirs you could hope to cart home, following a summer spent on Italian shores. Spanning wall-mounted and tabletop decorative pieces, bringing together traditional motifs with a contemporary finish, settling on which curio will be your first BC purchase is a trying task.

BOOK THIS Beaverbrook Townhouse

We’re big fans of Beaverbrook in Surrey, so their incoming Sloane Square property, Beaverbook Townhouse, has certainly caught our attention. The London extension of the country club, hotel, and spa is spread across two Grade-II listed Georgian townhouses, boasting 14 suites, each named after London theatres. Interiors are designed by the esteemed Nicola Harding, so guests can expect punchy pattern work and interesting colour combinations throughout. Fans of Beaverbrook’s Japanese Grill will be glad to learn that Beaverbrook Townhouse will also have a Japanese restaurant and bar which will serve a range of contemporary dishes.

VISIT THIS Harrods Hair And Beauty Salon

Hair and beauty treatments have long been a part of Harrods’ DNA, with the iconic store’s first Hairdressing and Manicure Department having opened in 1894. Now, their new hair and beauty salon marks the final phase of Harrods Knightsbridge’s beauty business transformation, led by Director of Beauty, Annalise Fard, to become one of the world’s largest beauty destinations. Offering customers a serene and tranquil beauty space, with unrivalled access to exclusive treatments and must-have products from the world’s most innovative beauty brands, all under one roof, we defy you to leave here empty-handed. The newly designed space hosts treatment areas that include a Conditioning Bar, Hairdressing Rotunda, Eye Zone, and even a Hair Extension Library. We’re already booked in for our primp and preening session, and suggest you do the same.

BOOKMARK THIS Sessions Arts Club

Old Sessions House, the restored 18th century, Grade II-listed former courthouse in Clerkenwell, is now home to one of the city’s best new openings: Sessions Arts Club. The 60-cover restaurant, bar, and art gallery space is taking over the fourth floor of the storied building, with a roof terrace leading to an elegant marble bar and an infinity pool. At its helm is chef Florence Knight – formerly of Polpo and Polpetto. Offering diners a seasonal menu inspired by British, French, and Italian, cooking spans potato and chard croquettes with lemon aioli to apricot ripple ice-cream. As its name suggests, the arts play a central role here, and feasting at Sessions Arts Club is likely to come with a side order of theatrics – by way of one-off events and workshops.

ACCESSORIZE WITH THIS Christopher Kane, More Joy Fan

Part of Christopher Kane’s marvellous More Joy collection – featuring phrases borrowed from the 1972 erotic manual The Joy of Sex – this recycled paper fan is the handheld accessory we’ve been seeking all summer long. Offering any outfit an injection of fun and positivity, the slogan-bearing fan with a sturdy bamboo base, is a must in any summertime traveller’s hoard. Whether warding off the London heatwave or lounging about poolside along Miami’s North Beach, this playfully chic wardrobe addition gets a double thumbs up from us.
