Suitcase Series: Mary Alice Malone, Creative Director Of Malone Souliers

Mary Alice Malone, Creative Director of luxury shoe label Malone Souliers grew up horse-riding in Pennsylvania.

Having studied psychology and dabbling in furniture-making, welding, and carpentry, amongst other things, she settled on creating shoes. Malone Souliers shoes are stalwarts on the red carpet season after season, thanks to their artisan design and iconic feminine silhouette. As for who the Malone Souliers woman is, Malone muses “She is confident and inspiring. My shoes are designed not just to elevate but to liberate. She can be a businesswoman, she can be a mother, she can be anything she wants. I dress every woman, regardless of where they come from and where they are going.”

Travel is intrinsically linked to Malone’s career regularly travelling between London and New York: “Travelling has always broadened my mind. Discovering new places, discovering people, and different cultures is such an inspiring experience. It’s something that enriches you and makes you see the world differently.”

Equipped with a few pairs of Malone Souliers shoes, including the iconic Maureen mule, we delve into Malone’s travel psyche.
