Here, we’ve collated a list of some of the world’s best and most-anticipated new openings from London to Capri, Mykonos to Dubai to help inspire your next adventure.

Raffles London At The OWO, London

Five years in the making, Raffles London at the Old War Office has taken great care in preserving and honouring the building’s Edwardian grandeur. With some 120 bedrooms, not to mention 11 restaurants and bars, guests will be spoilt for choice at Churchill’s old stomping ground.

Opening: Autumn 2022

Hotel La Palma, Capri, Italy

Capri’s first hotel, originally built in 1822, has been transformed into an elegant 50-room-and-suite property. Comprising of a rooftop restaurant and bar, high-fashion boutiques, its own beach club, a newly built pool deck, and a spa, this chic spot has it all! Set to become the buzzing epicentre of the island’s social scene, The La Palma Beach Club is a must-visit for summer ’22.

Gleneagles Townhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland

The iconic sporting and country estate, Gleneagles, is launching its first ever city outpost in St Andrew Square in Edinburgh’s New Town. The much-anticipated 33-bedroom hotel and members’ club is likely to make the perfect pitstop en route to Perthshire (where Gleneagles OG is located).

Joali Being, Maldives

Just opened, this Maldivian newcomer spans some 68 private water and beach villas (note: butler service is provided as standard – *squeals). The nature-immersive wellbeing retreat, the first of its kind in the Maldives, offers guests highly personalised treatments and experiences. Ned NoMad, New York, US

The Ned is heading stateside, and the Johnston Building, New York is set to be its new residence. Sure to be a scene unto itself, we’d wager the public bar and restaurant will become a city hotspot, while the rooftop bar (accessible only to hotel guests and members) will prove all the more appealing.

Cali Mykonos, Mykonos, Greece

The new Cycladic must-visit come summertime, Cali Mykonos will boast 40 luxury villas in Kalafati. Guests will be spoilt for choice with the sea, a private pool, and a fleet of yachts and speed boats ready to take you remote islands, all at their disposal. One&Only Aesthesis, Athens, Greece

A Grecian escape in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, One&Only Aesthesis will comprise of 127 rooms, suites, and villas. It’s USP? The spa, which promises a truly unique Grecian wellness experience. The hotels’ restaurants, slated to serve up A-grade Athenian fare are also certain to entice.

Rosewood Vienna, Vienna, Austria

Rosewood Hotels fifth European property will call an historic 18th– century building on Petersplatz home. With 99 guest rooms and suites, each offering separate spaces to entertain and relax, Rosewood Vienna will provide a sophisticated base in the city centre. Aman New York, New York, US

Featuring 22 exclusive branded residences, as well as 83 hotel guest rooms and suites, Aman New York at the Crown Building marks the first urban Aman Residences worldwide. With three restaurants to choose from – fine-dining Japanese, Nama, The Wine Library, and Italian restaurant, Arva – plus an elegant jazz club, all we can say is… watch this space; it’s likely to be the place to be in NYC in 2022.

The Homestead, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

This boutique luxury eco-lodge in South Africa’s Nambiti Private Game Reserve is one to add to your bucket list. Created to embrace the natural environment, The Homestead, which will comprise of 12 lodges, “will redefine the luxury African safari by offering levels of access, authenticity and luxury that have never been offered before”.

The Twenty Two, London, UK

A new hotel and members club in Mayfair, The Twenty Two is a haute London hideaway not to be overlooked. Set within an Edwardian Manor at number 22 Grosvenor Square, the property will house 31 bedrooms and suites, including a mews house, as well as an all-day restaurant and private members’ club space. The Hoxton, Brussels, Brussels, Belgium

Housed in a Brutalist-style tower building, The Hoxton, Brussels is a vibe – as are its 70s-inspired guest rooms. Located just north of the city centre, the building will also be home to Working From_, The Hoxton’s co-working brand – a good option for digital nomads seeking out new spaces and places in 2022.

The Lana, Dubai, UAE

Located in the Burj Khalifa District, The Lana is designed by the award-winning architects Foster + Partners. Dotted within the striking 30-storey building are 225 unique guest bedrooms, including 69 suites, each contemporary in their design. The rooftop pool, on the 30th floor, is exclusive to guests and offers cabana service – a real sell. One to add to your Dubai itinerary.

Pendry Park City, Utah

The ski-in, ski-out Pendry Park City promises a modernist take on a traditional Alpine lodge. Boasting cosy quarters, floor-to-ceiling windows (opening up to snowy scenes), and curated artwork hotel-wide, guests will feel right at home here. Over the course of your stay enjoy access to four restaurants and bars, Spa Pendry, and, best of all, a heated rooftop pool with a destination bar (après plans sorted).

Katara Towers, Doha, Qatar

Two luxury hotels are set to open inside Katara Towers in Lusail City in 2022, including the five-star Fairmont Hotel and six-star Raffles Hotel & Residences. Fairmont Hotel will offer 361 rooms and suites and Raffles Hotel & Residences will offer 132 suites and 49 apartments. The towers will also host numerous entertainment facilities including cinemas, boutiques, restaurants, and a private cigar lounge.

Cashel Palace, Tipperary, Ireland

Set in a Palladian manor, with views of the iconic Rock of Cashel, Cashel Palace is the place to check into on your next sojourn in Ireland. Optimally located between town and countryside, the landmark hotel has been meticulously restored and reimagined, now boasting elegant bedrooms, expansive gardens, a world class spa, and convivial Guinness Bar.

Sommerro, Oslo, Norway

Situated in Oslo’s West End, Sommerro celebrates Norwegian design, fusing form and function as the city’s first hotel located in an original Art-Deco building. The 231-room property – which counts 56 residences – will offer four restaurants, three bars, meeting and event spaces with capacity for up to 150 people, a 200-seat gilded theater, a sprawling wellness paradise, and the city’s first year-round rooftop pool, sauna, terrace, and restaurant.
