The CF Checklist: February

It’s time to plan your sartorial calendar, aided by your monthly dose of The CF Checklist.

Whether you are looking for sultry Valentine’s Day outfit inspo, or seeking on-trend accessories to breathe new life into your wardrobe, February’s checklist rounds up all the latest drops to ‘add to basket’.

THE SHOES

A new pair of shoes is the easiest way to breathe new life into a staid wardrobe. Put away your trusty black stilettos in lieu of these neon lime heels from Jimmy Choo, the very definition of happy-making shoes. The crystal embellishments add a dash of glamour, and will ensure you make an entrance into every room this spring.

THE LUXE DENIM

The Nineties revival is in full swing, and if you still need motivation to break up with your skinny jeans, these ultra-cool Brooklyn jeans from Ksubi will be sure to convince you. Constructed from a rigid denim for a tailoring edge, the relaxed straight-leg silhouette is ultra-slimming on waists and thighs. Pair with classic T-shirts, slim-line polo knits, and everything in between.

THE BRIDAL COLLECTION

Copehagen-based jewellery designer Sophie Bille Brahe is known for her sinuous, undulating diamond designs, and now she is delighting modern brides to be with her new collecition. Inspired by the quaint romance of love letters, the new wedding bands are designed to fit perfectly against the swirling engagement rings, just as a letter fits seamlessly into an envelope.

THE INFLUENCER-APPROVED BAG

Every fashion influencer worth her salt – from Camille Cherriere to Emili Sindlev – has been spotted on Instagram sporting the new Kesme bag from Instanbul-based accessories brand Manu Atelier. Identified by a boxy shape, and adorned with chunky gold hardware, it has all the hallmarks of a modern it bag. Available in a range of hues, from on-trend bottle green, to rich brown, we’re coveting the buttery vanilla option; the perfect palette-cleanser for dark ensembles.

THE SWIMSUIT

We've learnt the hard way that it's far savvier to invest in excellent swimwear throughout the year, rather than relying on last-minute shopping trips pre-flight. The new Como swimsuit from sustainable swimwear brand Away That Day is the very definition of poolside glamour. The punchy fuschia hue will brilliantly complement sunwarmed skin. Plus, the silhouette is ultrra-flattering: the high cut will magically add inches to your legs, and the belt is pleasingly waist-whittling.

THE UNDERWEAR

Looking to refresh your lingerie drawer? Nudea’s ultra-soft two pieces are so sumptuously form-fitting they will work as the perfect foundation for all outfits. The seamless ribbed bralette and briefs – a nifty hybrid of loungewear and underwear – offer superlative support and all-day comfort, whether on or off duty.

THE CHAIN DETAILS

With clean lines and a sculptural shape, a chunky chain necklace is a stalwart of every discerning jewellery box. Laura Lombardi is the Fashion-Editor approved go-to for cool girl designs, reworking recycled materials into heirloom-worthy designs. We love this simple chain, with chunky heart pendant, showing heart jewellery can look grown up and sophisticated.

THE VALENTINE'S READY DRESS

Whether you have a romantic dinner à deux planned, or are popping out for cocktails with friends, Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to get dressed up. This sultry dress from Amlul – the Spanish label funded by influencer Gala Gonzalez – is simply made for the occasion. In a flirtatious palette of red and pink – and with subtly sexy cut-out details – it is a piece to fall head-over-heels in love with.
