CF Editors Pick Their Favourite Beauty Products This Month

Beauty products drop at a dizzying rate, but there’s no need to feel overwhelmed. At CF we have done the hard work for you: curating an edit of the products dropping in February to really get excited about.

February is the month of love, and there are plenty of fresh new launches to make your heart go pitter-patter. Whether you’re lusting after a sultry new lipstick or a romantic fragrance for Valentine’s Day, or even some relaxing products to aid your self-care rituals, we’ve rounded up the crème de la crème of the beauty world for you.

THE LUXE BATH LAUNCH

I think a restorative bath is the ultimate in self-care, and with the weather still chilly, I need little convincing to maximise on this soothing nightime routine. Created by OG influencer Estée Lalonde, Mirror Water is a new beauty brand centred around the rituals of bathing. Comprising four core products, it is these bath salts that really got me excited. Like a spot of forest bathing, from the comfort of your own bath tub, essential oils such as vetiver, cedarwood, and Canadian black spruce make for a beautifully transporting scent. Sprinkle liberally to emerge feeling rested and grounded.

THE ROMANTIC FRAGRANCE

Looking for a new scent to tantalise your love for Valentine's Day? Look no further than the latest rose-centric launch from Jo Malone London. Comprising a romantic array of perfumes, diffusers, and candles, with various rose accords at their heart, there is a surprising scent to delight every nose. We're coveting Rose Blush for a light and ethereal interpretation. Laced with rose damascena, green basil, and juicy lychee, its quite simply spring in a bottle. Plus, the bottle will sit pretty on your dressing table, bedecked with a delicate pink bow.

THE GENTLE LIP SCRUB

A lip scrub may initially seem like a frivolous addition to your already abundant vanity case, but consider it akin to prepping a canvas for painting. If you want your lipstick to look flawless, you need an ultra soft and smooth base. This efficacious scrub is laden with exfoliating cherry seed powder and antioxidant-rich sweet cherry puree; you can kiss goodbye to sad, chapped lips for good.

THE LUSTROUS LIPSTICK

A vibrant burst of colour on the lips, with all the ultra-nourishing comfort of a balm, the new Sisley Phyto Rouge Shine has to be seen to be believed. Lips feel hydrated and plumped, thanks to a cocktail of jojoba and moringa oils alongside vitamin E. The sleek  bullet (which is also refillable for the first time) means you'll be eager to whip it out to re-apply, although with superb staying power and colour pay off, there really is no need. In 12 shades – from orangey reds to flirty pinks and sultry nudes – I want one in every colour.

THE HIGH FASHION EYE MASK

If you can't quite justify investing in the iconic Dior Saddle Bag, these Eye Reviver Patches are an ultra accessible way into the Dior logomania. Spotted backstage at the Dior couture show in January, these nifty masks bring an instant glow to the eye area in just 10 minutes. Pop on after applying the Capture Totale Eye Contour Serum, for instantly smoothed, hydrated, and depuffed under-eyes.

THE WHIPPED BODY CREAM

You'll be forgiven for overlooking OUAI's bodycare collection and making a beeline for the French brand's iconic hair products, but its deserving of a closer look, particularly this new body crème. I've been guilty of skipping body lotion in a rush, but this whipped texture sinks into skin like a dream, so you can get dressed and go straight away. Concocted from squalane, cupuaçu butter, and coconut oil, it cajoles dry skin into supple, strokable glory. The signature Melrose scent is a bonus: it will cocoon you in sweet aroma of rose, bergamot, and lychee all day.

THE SUPER SERUM

Think your sensitive complexion rules out the use of retinol? Think again! Dr Sebagh can always be relied upon for their intelligent serums, and the new Retinol Night Repair lives up the usual hype. This super serum uses the highest percentage of retinol permitted yet, 0.3%, and is formulated with a coterie of nourishing ingredients like rosehip oil, Vitamin E, coconut oil, olive oil, and squalene, making it suitable for even sensitive skin types. The result: fresher, more youthful skin.

THE HAIR SUPPLEMENTS

Struggling with limp, lack-lustre hair? Whether post-partum, caused by stress, hormone changes, or even COVID, hair loss is more common than you think. Cult supplements brand The Nue Co addresses the issue in a pioneering new two-step hair routine, combining an oral and topical supplement. Used in conjunction over 12 weeks, hair will be thicker, less prone to breakages, and healthier, thanks to stimulating concoction of pre- and post-biotics, aptogens, micronutrients, and minerals that treat from inside-out.

THE INTELLIGENT CLEANSER

Fans of Hot Cloth & Polish will know that Liz Earle is the go-to for a seriously hardworking cleanser without a hefty price tag. Now there is a new lightweight formula to love – all the better at removing make-up and dirt – which is just as gentle on skin. The texture is sophisticated: a gel that turns into an oil when massaged into skin, then into a milk when met with water. Formulated with a radiance-boosting cocktail of acerola cherry, organic black bee honey, and nourishing elderberry seed oil, skin feels glowy and refreshed post-use.

THE WARMING BLUSH

Finding a blush that delivers a healthy natural flush can be tricky, but Blush Lumière from Chanel's new La Pausa collection, inspired by sundrenched summers on the French Riviera, certainly delivers. Pêche Rosée is a wondrous coral pink which warms the complexion in a single sweep. Easily blendable, the creamy powder can be layered for a more minimalist or maximalist sun-kissed look.

THE SALON-WORTHY SHAMPOO

Salon 64 is the cool salon in Soho, which is as known for its expert cuts, colour and blow dries, as it is for its excellent coffee and cocktails. Now you can recreate the in-salon experience at home with a luxe collection of vegan haircare products. The Viva La Moisture range is formulated with ginger, dandelion and burdock, to add moisture and lustre to dry, coloured hair. Use the shampoo and conditioner in tandem to reveal soft and silky locks you can’t help but admire.
