This Week CF Loves: 21.03.22

We’ve a spring in our step this week. Perhaps it’s something to do with our new, fabulous shoes – more details below – or the scrumptious new dining spot we’ve spied in Mayfair, but, in any case, we’re feeling positively cheerful.

For your own dopamine hit, scroll through our hotlist of things making us giddy this week.

SHOP THIS Malone Souliers X Bridgerton

We love a collab, and this exclusive capsule collection from Malone Soulier, in partnership with Shondaland and Netflix, to mark the launch of Bridgerton Season 2, really makes us squeal! ‘Celebrating confidence, individuality, and the empowering magic of the grand entrance’, The Bridgerton X Malone Souliers collection takes its cues from the scandalous spirit and sumptuous outfits of the hit TV series. Reimagined in opulent Regency-inspired materials that reference characters from the show, don these at your next soiree and you’ll feel like the bell of the ball, guaranteed.

DISPLAY THIS 'Positano Blues' By Lucy Laucht X Le Sirenuse

Positano Blues Lucy Laucht x Le Sirenuse is a limited-edition collection of film photographs evoking the spirit of one of our favourite hotels. With a tinge of nostlagia, these elegant film photographs are printed at A2 on heavyweight, environmentally friendly museum-grade art paper with archival pigment inks; we love their little irregularities and imperfections, that little grain finish… it all adds to the charm. Works spanning vibrant beach scenes to vertiginous cliffs, capture this coastal wonderland perfectly. Custom printed to order, each print comes hand signed with a limited-edition number; plus, 10% of each print sale goes to Choose Love Help Refugees, a NGO providing humanitarian aid to, and advocacy for, refugees.

BOOK THIS SeaSons

Taking over a cornerstone spot on Bruton Street in Mayfair, between Hermes and Hakkasan, SeaSons has made its mark on the capital. On entry, diners are met by a landmark octopus, followed by an ostentatious stream of fish suspended overhead which leads you towards the marble-topped bar. By contrast, the dining area itself boasts a more neutral palette. Stressing SeaSonal (the clue is in the name) and sustainable credentials, you won’t find any meat on the menu, but you can expect quite the seafood offering. SeaSons already has a few fishmonger bistros dotted across town (Fitzrovia, Notting Hill, Bayswater, Kensington) as well as upcoming plans for Miami and New York postings. Pescatarians will delight while scrolling through a menu which is split into sections on ‘oysters’, ‘caviar’, ‘raw fish’, and ‘lobster’, alongside a selection of pizzas and pastas (both seafood-based and otherwise). Alternatively, choose your own catch of the day from the central Fish Market on ice, to be grilled with Provençal herbs, Taghazout style with Moroccan spices, or served table-side with a Sicilian salt crust and vegetable and herb mirepoix.

Top table? Sip a martini at the oyster bar whilst indulging in the finest Fine de Claire, or take a seat on the outdoor terrace come summertime with a chilled bottle of white wine, accompanied by their signature sharing fish soup “Cataplana”, and watch the best of Mayfair pass by.

PLAY WITH THESE Playing Cards – Capri Lemons, Casa Carta

A chic pack of cards is an essential in any household. Seeing you through many elegant game nights this spring/summer, we’ve fallen for this dual deck of lemon-clad playing cards. Housed in a signature yellow crocodile inspired, vegan-friendly leather box, we think this makes for a discerning gifting option – that is if  you can bare to give it away. Selflessness levels pending, sort your hosting gifts through August in just one click.

WATCH THIS C*CK, Ambassadors Theatre

“The fact is that some of us like women and some like men and that’s fine that’s good in fact that’s good, a good thing, but it seems to me that you’ve become confused.”

Mike Bartlett’s 2009 play,  C*ck comes to the Ambassadors Theatre this month, presented by Elliott & Harper. Starring Taron Egerton, Jonathan Bailey, and Jade Anouka, the story centres around John (Bailey) a gay man who feels conflicted after meeting and falling for a woman. Redefining the battle of the sexes, this razor-sharp play examines why we limit ourselves with labels. Running for a strictly limited season, purchase your tickets before curtain down on 4 June 2022.
