Cakes, chic bridalwear, and spring getaways. Scroll on to check out what’s on our radar this week.

VISIT THIS Anya Cafe

Inspired by British cafés of old, Anya Cafe is a cheeky little spot on London’s Pont Street. Forming part of Anya Hindmarch Village, the café – which is open for breakfast, coffee, lunch, tea, and early evening tipples – epitomises 50s chic. Offering a selection of whimsical Anya Hindmarch cakes and biscuits, which can also be packaged up as gifts for your SO/friend/self. Choose from an assortment of sweet treats spanning shaggy monster cakes and iced buns, to mallow tea cakes and chocolate Guinness cake. If you’re paying a visit in the run up to Easter, you’ll be tempted by some awfully delicious hot cross buns too. After you’re amply fed, hop to Anya’s Bespoke Store and then on to The Plastic Store before making ways for home (cake box in tow, ofc).

BOOK THIS Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection

Boasting 75 ocean-front rooms, all with outdoor space including plunge pools, hot tubs, and sky-deck roof terraces, choosing where to spend our spring vacation suddenly seems the simplest of decisions. The recently opened Etéreo – which translates as “ethereal” or “heavenly” – certainly lives up to its name, with an abundance of lip-smacking dining options and a wowing spa to boot. Dine at the Mayan-inspired restaurant Itzam, or alternatively book a table at Che Che, which specialises in Nikkei cuisine that blends Japanese, Peruvian, and Brazilian elements. For diners keen to maximise on their current surrounds, El Changarro provides service on the sand – order the catch of the day, you won’t regret it. Back at base, the Auberge Spa, SANA, offers guests a wide-ranging programme spanning retreats, classes, rituals, and a range of indulgent spa experiences, as well as more unique offerings such as ‘moonbathing’ and ancient Mayan ceremonies.

WEAR THIS RIXO Bridal

Attention: modern brides planning for weddings of all descriptions, this entry is for you. Whether you’re tying the knot in a registry office in London or a cathedral in the south of France, RIXO’s bridal styles run the gamut from vintage-inspired pieces (think cuts in jacquard and lovely lace) to the off-kilter (jumpsuits and skirts with a little plumage – always a good idea), promising something to suit every scenario. A great edit for brides who want to feel like themselves on their big day, dressed in something that truly aligns with their own personal style, RIXO’s collection ‘will look as beautiful in old wedding albums as they do on Instagram’. Promise.

EAT THIS Goddard & Gibbs

New kid on the block, 100 Shoreditch (where the Ace Hotel formerly stood) has drawn many curious Londoners east since its launch earlier this year. Goddard & Gibbs, its all-day restaurant, wine bar, and take-out hatch specialising in British seafood, has also got people chattering. Inspired by the fishing villages and seaside towns dotted along England’s coastline, Goddard & Gibbs is a great lunch spot, given its relaxed energy and amiable staff. Munch on an assortment of crisp sardine sausage rolls and fried calamari (caught in Whitstable) to start, followed by a decadent squid-ink linguine and a proper plating of fish and chips. Round thinks off with G&G’s decadent fried doughnut crowned with malt ice-cream and drenched in miso-caramel and peanut dust.

WATCH THIS Bridgerton, Netflix

Created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, Season One of Bridgerton had us hooked in its opening moments. Naturally, the long wait between then and now – now, being Season Two’s launch – has been arduous, but finally, FINALLY this gem of a show is back on our screens, ready to be devoured. If the lovely sunshine over the weekend prevented you from consuming the latest series in one go, you’re forgiven. To avoid any spoilers, we’ll just say this: it’s Lord Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) moment in the spotlight as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Happy binging.
