This Week CF Loves: 11.04.22

Skye Gyngell’s much-loved pop-up Spring-To-Go on Ledbury Road is closing it’s doors this week – now’s your last chance to explore this sweet neighbourhood spot (and pick up  a dozen cloud-like pastries whilst there).

Other “to-dos” include: a spa day at Grey Wolfe in Barnes and a memorable “In Conversation” at The Soho Hotel, featuring Sandy Powell. To discover these, and more, scroll on.

SHOP THIS Iris & Ink Giselle blazer

Whilst The Outnet is known as the one-stop shop for delivering high-end designer pieces and the season’s hottest trends at a discounted price, their in-house brand Iris & Ink offers a collection of grown up, wear-with-everything essentials to slip into your capsule wardrobe. The brand is upping their sustainable credentials with the latest SS22 Considered Collection, using more conscious processes, and lower-impact, recycled, and organic materials to create the luxe minimalist pieces fans of the brand have come to expect. The Giselle blazer, crafted from lightweight organic cotton, is our favourite from the capsule of stylish wardrobe investments. With a relaxed menswear-inspired silhouette, and tortoiseshell buttons to add a chic style accent, it will work hard for your summer wardrobe both on and off-duty.

BOOK THIS Grey Wolfe

Health and wellbeing expert, Sarah Jones, and self-care practitioner, Sinéad Johnson, have joined forces to bring us “holistic wellbeing”. As nebulous as that may sound, these days, the idea of someone “fixing you” is all too welcome. After repeat lockdowns, followed by deep-diving into offices, travels, and socialising, Grey Wolfe in Barnes, West London, offers customers a soft place to land. With menu items including smudging therapy, chakra balancing, breathwork, visualisation, crystals, numerology, body and foot mapping, as well as skin reading, their menu makes it hard to select just one solution. The brand’s signature face and body treatment incorporates breathwork, visualisation, crystals, body mapping, and energy work to reset, energise, and restore mental and physical balance. “How do you feel today?” Depending on your answer, the therapist will whip up your bespoke massage oil, and five minutes of breathwork later, off you doze into your own dreamy wonderland. Slowly wake up refreshed, revitalised, and renewed; body and mind.

From fresh-cut flowers to moreish produce, there’s a lot to take your fancy. If you’re in W11 this Sunday, you know where to go…

SPRITZ THIS FUYU, Tom Daxon

Our fragrance wardrobe is ever-expanding – our latest addition: Tom Daxon’s Fuyu. With top notes of white peach and heart notes of jasmine and iris, we think we may have found our summer ’22 scent. Cultivated at a family run perfumery in Grasse, France, Tom Daxon’s scents are always seducing, and this delicate and fresh musk is no different.

ATTEND THIS Fashion & Cinema: In Conversation with Sandy Powell, The Soho Hotel

World-famous Academy and BAFTA Award winning costume designer, Sandy Powell explores her decorated career in the film industry in conversation with writer and curator, Keith Lodwick on Sunday 24 April at The Soho Hotel. No stranger to challenging established perceptions and exploring identities, during this one-off event Powell will discuss films that have shaped her career including her work with Leonardo DiCaprio (Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed), Cate Blanchett (Carol), Olivia Colman (The Favourite), and Julianne Moore (Far From Heaven). The ‘In Conversation’ will be followed by a showing of Sandy Powell’s chosen film Orlando, starring Tilda Swinton.
