The Sustainable And Stylish Activewear Brands To Have On Your Radar

As the weather gets warmer, we’re looking forward to exercising outdoors, which can only mean one thing: adding to our workout wardrobes.

Nothing serves as greater inspiration to our workout regimes quite like a chic new two piece. Before making your next investment, consider these seven brilliant brands, who are taking an eco-conscious approach and using sustainable materials which are kinder to the environment.

Australian label P.E. Nation is known for its streetwear-inspired colour-blocking aesthetic, which looks as good for exercise as it does for popping out for brunch. Over the past few years the brand has been pushing its sustainability credentials with an ever-expanding conscious edit. Sweat-wicking leggings and shorts are made from recycled polyester, whilst ultra-soft T-shirts are spun from organic cotton.

Launched in 2021, Ref Active is the sporty extension of everyone’s favourite sustainable dress brand, Reformation. The collection is made from two different fabrications: EcoMove is for your HIIT class, whilst the EcoStretch fabric is perfect for yoga or simply, lounging. Both are made from REPREVE, which uses 100% recycled plastic bottles. They’ve recently added cute tennis dresses and skirts to the collection, perfect for when Wimbledon fever takes hold.

With a neutral, considered palette, these pieces work as well for travel as for fitness, surf, and yoga. Utilising sustainable fabrics – such as recycled and organic materials – Vuori also works with Climate Neutral, offsetting the brand’s carbon footprint through funding projects that help combat global warming.
