SHOP THIS GANNI Broderie Anglaise Midi Dress
We’re reticent to call this ‘the perfect summer dress’ – a phrase bandied around rather freely – however, on this occasion, we can’t think of a better description to sum up this romantic broderie anglaise GANNI dress. Firstly, it’s ultra-flattering for all body shapes, thanks to a form-fitting silhouette and stretchy, shirred bodice. As all investment pieces should be, it’s versatile, and suits both work and play – just add heels. Finally, the joyous green hue offers a masterclass in ‘dopamine dressing’, making it the ideal addition to hot weather wardrobes.
PRIMP WITH THIS The Light Cream, Augustinus Bader
We’re adding the newly launched Augustinus Bader: The Light Cream with TFC8® to our beauty kits, stat. ‘A light, mattifying daily moisturiser that hydrates, balances, renews, and protects while improving the complexion’s appearance, and preventing unwanted shine’, in short, The Light Cream is essentially skincare voodoo in a super-chic vile. Ideal for combination and oily complexions as well as regular skin types in humid, congested climates (take note travel fiends), this hero product delivers a fresh, flawless, shine-free finish. *Add to carry on.
BOOK THIS The Dorchester Rooftop
Following a successful launch last year, The Dorchester Rooftop returns with its terrace restaurant and bar for summer ’22. With spectacular views across London, this swish sun trap delves deep into the French Riviera, courtesy of a Mediterranean concept menu. The menu concept devised by Jean-Philippe Blondet, the Executive Chef of Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester features highlights including sea bass ceviche, pissaladière, and a signature dessert, Tarte tropézienne. Accompany your meal with Med-inspired drinks concocted by the legendary Giuliano, then kick back with the live band or DJ and let the good times roll.
BUY THIS The Folio Society
Whether shopping for a gift or looking to add to your own bookshelf collection, turn to The Folio Society, producers of some of the most beautiful, limited-edition illustrated books in the world. Now in its 75th year, The Folio Society selects existing titles from the world’s great works of fiction and non-fiction and reinvents each book as a work of art.
The recent launch of the summer collection is an ideal entry point for those unfamiliar with TFS – from John le Carré’s A Perfect Spy, to Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Our favourite? India: A History – a work of extraordinary ambition from one of our finest writers on South Asia and the Far East, exclusively updated and revised by The Folio Society. The lavishly illustrated books comprise 48 pages of images passing through the age of Hindu mythology and the great Sanskrit epics to the splendour of the Mughals and their long dynastic rule. Each copy comes complete with beautiful bindings, endpapers, and slipcase by artist Florian Schommer.
