'Til The Last Drop #35

Welcome to ‘Til The Last Drop: a bi-monthly column in which I, CF Beauty Editor, Olivia Bennett, share my review of a favourite cult product that I (truly) use to the last drop. This week’s featured product is Caudalie Beauty Elixir.

I’m messaged by friends and family, at all hours of the day, with recommendation requests for everything from “the budget gel moisturiser that works with combination skin” to “the hard-hitting eye cream that will make Botox a last resort”, and queries on “whether X, Y, and Z from the current trending brand are REALLY worth the hype”.

Such incessant inquiries sparked this column, where I’ll cover best-selling names alongside under-the-radar brands to note. You’ll hear about blow-the-budget products that live up to their hefty price tag and the purse-friendly steals which I unashamedly turn to time and again.

No need to text me, I’ll be sharing all my intel with you right here every other week. Tune in.

THE MULTITASKING FACE MIST

Found in the kits of the world's most prestigious make-up artists, and publicly loved by Margot Robbie and Victoria Beckham, it's safe to say that Caudalie's Beauty Elixir is a true cult product. The formula has stayed the same for 25 years, a testiment to its efficacy, laden with skin-loving plant ingredients like rosemary, lemon balm, and grape extract to revitalise, hydrate, and soothe skin – side note: it's deliciously fragrant. A serious multitasker, this gentle mist can be used post-cleansing to add radiance and shrink pores, acts as a setting spray atop foundation, and can be used to refresh make-up throughout the day to achieve that covetable dewiness we are eternally seeking. I'll be popping mine in my hand-luggage for a much-needed moisture hit post-flight too.
