Villa Cute
Living up to it’s name, this adorable villa in Toiny, St Barts is cute as can be. Perfectly proportioned, it comfortably sleeps four (bedrooms are both ensuite with king-size beds) and serves as a ‘welcoming bohemian escape’ for those who want to kick back in the sunshine. Toiny beach is only a pebble’s throw away (we suggest you top and tail your days with walks on the sand and the sun rises and falls). A neutral colour palette dominates across the property (which has an indoor-outdoor layout), with considered touches – think swirled-straw lampshades and boho artwork – offering an injection of personality. In the morning, head out to the heated pool for a quick dip before grabbing a seat at the breakfast bar and laying plans for the day(s) ahead.
Sanzaru
If your cup runneth over with friends, Sanzaru is the Caribbean rental for you. ‘Set in the exclusive St James Parish on Barbados’ this 11-bed villa (there are nine bedrooms in the main villa and two in the neighbouring cottage) is the epitome of a luxury stay. Over the course of your stay you’ll have a ‘dedicated team of butlers, chefs, and housekeepers’ on hand to ‘cater to your every need’. Should some luxury not be available at Sanzaru (unlikely), the Sandy Lane Estate Beach Club, ‘a private members’ club to which guests in the villa can enjoy full access’, will likely be able to accommodate. Still, considering the villa boasts an XL sun-trap patio (complete with outdoor kitchen and bar area), infinity pool, a well-equipped air-conditioned gym, oh, and a private spa, it’s hard to think of any need that would go unmet at Sanzaru.
Aqua Verde
The nature-swaddled Aqua Verde on the tropical Turks and Caicos island of Providenciales is in a word: ‘heavenly’. Set within the confines of the Princess Alexandra National Park, from the property the shoreline stretches out as far as the eye can see. Should the water prove tempting, guests of the villa can try their hand at paddleboarding or kayaking. After a morning on the water, head back to the villa for lunch on the terrace – ‘the BBQ and fire pit set the scene for al-fresco dining’. While away the pre-dinner hours in the heated pool and mix up a glass of something refreshing come aperitivo hour.
Fleur De Mer
We’re swooning over this five-bedroom beach villa in Colombier, St. Barts. With room enough for up to 10 guests – each bedroom has its own private terrace and ensuite bathroom –, the low-level property is engulfed by its verdant surrounds. Fragrant gardens, filled with palm trees and hibiscus, fringe the property. Our advice: get a birds-eye perspective of your surrounds from the infinity pool. From said pool, you’ll also be able to peep at (and admire) the all-white interiors and organic décor touches, which combine to ‘create an effortless indoor/outdoor flow’. The living area is open plan and the perfect place to gather after lounge about in the sun all day.
