Checking In: Nobu Hotel Warsaw

No matter where it is in the world, you can always tell when you’ve stepped into a Nobu hotel. Checking into the Nobu Hotel Warsaw is no different.

From the minimalist Japanese aesthetic, to the cosy-yet-contemporary interiors, impeccable restaurant, and casual-yet-cool vibes, you immediately fall under its spell. Set within the beating heart of Warsaw’s cultural scene, the hotel successfully merges Nobu’s signature modernist style with the eclecticism of Warsaw – and we’re so here for it.

The Vibe

Blending Warsaw’s old-world elegance with new-world sophistication, Nobu Hotel Warsaw is split into two parts. One side remains quintessentially minimalist and Nobu-esque, the other offers stunning art deco rooms in a 20th century historical building. Walking through the hotel is like walking through time, yet distinctive Nobu touches can be felt everywhere, from the choice of artwork to the curated pop-up spaces in the lobby.

The Rooms

Nobu Hotel Warsaw has 117 rooms and suites split between the new and old wings. Spacious and unfussy, modern with plenty of warmth; the rooms at Nobu have everything that a discerning modern traveller requires. From incredible floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms, indulgent king-sized beds, larger-than-expected flatscreen TVs, and a cosy sitting area, you can’t ask for a better place to rest your head after a day of exploring the old city.

The Nobu Suite is just the thing for extended stays. Located on the sixth floor, the sprawling suite has a large living area, kitchenette, dining table, and a dressing room. Families also have the option to connect the suite to an adjoining room. Dark wood panelling, modernist blue rugs, striking light fixtures and views for days – city living has never looked this good.

The Little Extras

There’s plenty of little touches that make any stay at the Nobu Hotel Warsaw extra special. Hotel guests can rent scooters to explore the city in style, while Home Nook – a stylish pop-up of Japanese home scent brand – draws guests in with delightful aromas and stylish home fragrances. Delicious Japanese confections greet guests in the room, where a vintage record player adds a touch of nostalgia. However, what really impressed was the impeccable level of service.

The Food + Drink

There’s a reason why Nobu restaurant is so well-known across the world: great Japanese cuisine that’s consistent, no matter what branch or location you find yourself in. At Nobu Hotel Warsaw, we tried the five-course Omakase menu – which was everything we imagined, and more. From fresh sushi and sashimi to the signature Miso Black Cod and Beef Teppanyaki, Nobu’s Omakase Menu is worth the hype.

For breakfast, Nobu offers a Japanese-twist to the classic menu. Breakfast purists will enjoy the American or Continental breakfast offer, but those who want to immerse themselves in the Japanese way of life will enjoy the Salmon Egg Donburi, and other options.

The To-Do List

Dressed like a classic Japanese sake bar, stepping into the Sake Bar by Nobu will transport you to the back streets of Tokyo. The sultry, low-lit, 55-seat venue breathes authenticity. It offers Nobu-inspired favourites, and an impressive collection of sake to boot. The striking bar counter, which sits under austere, cloud-like sculptures that float above the bar, honours the traditional Japanese sake bar format – and is a great spot to breathe in Warsaw’s vibrant social scene.

There’s plenty to explore outside of the Nobu Hotel Warsaw, too. We recommend visiting the Palace of Culture & Science, a towering socialist structure that is home to beautiful city views. Walk along the Old Town Square and peep Warsaw’s historical buildings, or go for a stroll in Lazienki Park where, if you’re lucky, you may be treated to a free classical music performance.
