This Week CF Loves: 07.11.22

We’re in “treat ourselves” mode.

For some that means booking sunny escapes (and a corresponding hot weather wardrobe), for others it’s finding the perfect red lip, or maybe even planning for some January downtime. Here’s what we’re loving this week.

USE THIS Ere Perez Lip Tint

A long-lasting lip product that requires zero additional effort beyond its initial application is the low-maintenance girl’s beauty saviour, and great for those who enjoy a more natural makeup look. Ere Perez formulates makeup, and now skincare, with native Australian ingredients. We love an Aussie brand, and with Perez’ influences from her childhood living in Mexico, her products are super-charged with goodness. Her lip stain, created from beetroot extracts, provides a really flattering pop of colour. It doubles up as a cheek tint, but be warned, a little goes a long way. Apply it sparingly for a subtle, pretty flush that lasts for hours.

VISIT THIS Tuesday Jazz Night At Louie London

Spread over three floors of a 19th-century townhouse in Covent Garden, Louie London just might be the best date night you can have in London right now. The venue’s particular blend of alchemy involves Creole and French cuisine mixed with sophisticated cocktails, charismatic service and art deco interiors – think tasselled lampshades, a gleaming copper bar and striped, velvet banquettes. Go on a Tuesday evening to feast on New-Orleans inspired dishes with a Parisian twist, including Louisiana crab cake, oyster po’boys and seafood gumbo, followed by live jazz in the upstairs lounge bar. This bijoux drinking den boasts a crackling fire and plant-filled terrace and is the perfect spot for a nightcap while listening to sultry tunes from a roster of brilliant musicians. It’s official – we love Louie!

BUY THIS CHLOÉ Woody large leather-trimmed raffia tote

A beach bag is a sunny staple. You’ll want a classic shape that is holiday-ready ideally in raffia, straw or canvas, and as we enter ‘island month’ and plan our warm escapes, we are turning to Chloé’s Woody Raffia Tote. Big enough to hold sun cream, towels, swimwear and whatever else you need for a beach day, it also has sustainability at heart. Produced by Mifuko, a Fair Trade organisation that supports Kenyan women – each one is handmade using traditional techniques and signed by the craftsperson. With a sturdy leather handle and pockets and compartments that fasten, this is a a great bag for travelling that will most definitely make a great wardrobe staple year in year out.

TREAT YOURSELF TO THIS Strathberry Jewellery

Strathberry launches its first ever jewellery collection. Showcasing the same minute attention to detail, durability, and craftsmanship that are behind each of their products, this capsule features all the jewellery-box essentials such as earrings, heart-shaped studs, a bangle, bracelets, and a curated edit of delicate necklaces. Embodying the simplicity of ‘chic-without-fuss’ every day luxe pieces, these are classics with a Strathberry twist, with gold-plated elaborations of the signature bar. Contemporary and minimalist – what’s not to love!
