This Week CF Loves: 28.11.22

If you could indulge in one cosy brand all winter long, which one would you pick?

From cashmere to omakase, we’re nothing short of pure luxe this week. Is it time for treat yourself? We think so, yes. Take a deep dive into this week’s hotlist of things to do, eat and wear we simply cannot get enough of.

BOOK THIS Birch Community

Often lauded the UK’s most creative hotel, Birch Community (at Birch Hotel of course) has a line-up of December festivities under one roof keeping all the family entertained. From Festive Pottery Homeware sessions – where you can make your very own Christmas decorations and homeware to take home – to Wreath Making Workshops that use greenery from Birch’s grounds, including eucalyptus, conifer green, pine cones, dry oranges, cinnamon sticks, walnuts, and pepper berries. If you’re looking for an afternoon of reconnection, the Sound Healing Cacao Ceremony might be for you – an evening of sacred circle, ecstatic movement, potent breathwork, magical medicine and harmonious sound bathing. A special festive-workshop with resident artist Ru Cummins will help you design your own wrapping paper, or you can enjoy a woodland walk in Birch’s 55 acres of green space. If you’re up for it, a brisk, cold-water, early morning lido swim.

TRAVEL WITH THIS Steamery

Whether you’re a hater of ironing or need the ideal gadget on your travels for pristine crease-free clothes, Steamery is a traveller’s dream. The Stockholm-based brand balances aesthetics and functionality beautifully. Their latest handheld steamer iteration – the Cirrus No.3 Iron Steamer – is a combination iron and steamer, sleek and slimline, compact and lightweight. The device can steam about three garments on a full water tank, but for stubborn wrinkles or to attain a perfectly crisp linen shirt or crease-free satin dress, the mouthpiece heats up to do double duty as an ironing plate. (The steamer also comes with a “wearable ironing tool” – essentially a mitt to help smooth the fabric, and a heat-proof mouthpiece cover for protection when the iron surface is still hot.) This handheld, travel-friendly device is an essential for any Citizen Femme. Dare we say a statement piece?

WEAR THESE Loro Piana

If we could choose only one brand to live in for the entire winter season, it would be Loro Piana. And while you may not invest in an entire wardrobe from Loro Piana, you may choose a key piece or two that endure style throughout the years. Their new Cashfur range includes a series of Loro Piana accessories playfully engineered around the design of bags, boots and headwear. The signature Loro Piana Cashmere material is refined even further, skilfully worked to create very thin ribbons which are then joined to an equally thin silk thread. This wonder of softness is then crafted on circular knitting looms creating its distinctive fur-like consistency. The iconic Regent Ankle Boots are our favourite, inspired by classic rain boots with thick durable rubber soles, with Cashfur and natural calfskin.

EAT HERE Taku Mayfair

Chef Takuya Watanabe, the man behind Jin, the first sushi Omakase restaurant in Paris to receive a Michelin star, has brought his talents to London. Literally meaning “I’ll leave it up to the Chef”, Omakase is where all your dining decisions for that meal are delegated to the chef. At Taku Mayfair’s 16-cover restaurant, it also means a daily-changing tasting menu to suit the produce available and the chef’s interpretations of it. Dishes are prepared in edomae style, considered to be the most traditional form of sushi making. The method involves curing the fish and dates back centuries to when sushi in Japan’s capital city of Edo – now called Tokyo – was sold by street vendors as a snack and stored in vinegar to keep it from spoiling. A feast for the senses.

USE THIS RéVive’s Limited Edition ArtJar 2022

Those in the know use RéVive. Red carpet events to personal celebrations to your required dose of self-care, REVIVE is one of our beauty hero brands. From their SPF to their moisturising renewal cream, the favourites are endless. We are turning to this December essential – the ultimate instant eye transformation. RéVive’s cooling wraparound hydrogel mask hydrates and refreshes the delicate eye area, a stocking filler (for yourself perhaps?) or just your go-to after a busy run up to Christmas. And as far as a good looking beauty cabinet goes, add RéVive’s ArtJar 2022 to your wishlist. A collector’s item, RéVive have partnered with artist Amber Vittoria to design a beautiful new rendition of the iconic night cream jar.
