As the new year approaches, so does our search for the hottest new hotels opening during it. Consider stays in each of these 10 new hotels added to our 2023 diary.

Hotel La Palma, Capri, Italy

A few steps away from the famous Piazzetta on the island of Capri, Oetker Collection is opening their first location in Italy. Built on the very location of Capri’s first ever hotel, the Hotel La Palma is reimagining modern luxury while preserving the rich cultural and historical heritage that makes this island so special. This elegant Mediterranean retreat will be comprised of 50 rooms and guests will be able to spend time in the high fashion boutique, or relaxing at the beach club or spa. The restaurant and bar is equally exciting as it will be led by Michelin-starred Neapolitan chef, Gennaro Esposito. Make a note of this hotel as your next go-to stay for a dreamy Italian Summer.

The Four Seasons at The Pearl, Qatar

The Four Seasons is offering a new luxury escape in Doha at beachfront site, The Pearl-Qatar. Guests will be welcomed by the charm and glamour of the Four Seasons experience into one of the new 161 apartments or 84 private residences. There is a wide variety of amenities to enjoy, from spending the day at the pool and beach to treating yourself at the hotel’s spa, Loulou. Foodies will be thrilled by the choice of seven restaurants to try including the speakeasy bar and the two Joël Robuchon International venues.

Fairmont New Breakers, California

Iconic California hotel, The Breakers, welcomed all of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the fifties. Now it’s getting ready for a new chapter as part of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Group. In 2023, The Breakers will be Long Beach’s first luxury boutique hotel, with 185 rooms and suites. The hotel will also offer unbeatable views across the Los Angeles Basin and ocean from its rooftop lounge and bar, a vibrant social setting with a live jazz club. This will be a true Hollywood Glam getaway.

The Peninsula Istanbul, Turkey

History meets luxury at the Peninsula in Istanbul. Comprised of one new and three restored buildings, this gorgeous hotel is opening on the waterfront of the Bosphorus, in the historic Karaköy district. We’re already in love with their outdoor and indoor swimming pools; the first uniquely located along the bank of the Bosphorus, the second surrounded by Marmara columns and illuminated overhead domes.

One and Only Aesthesis, Athens, Greece

Tipped to be Athens’ next hotspot, the One and Only Aesthesis with its sleek, mid-century design and views across the Athenian Riviera, is a celebration of Grecian nature and history. From the thermal experience in Lake Vouliagmeni and sunset surfing, to the ancient remains of the Acropolis and the beautiful Athenian streets, there is something for every traveller to fall in love with on this Aegean escape.

The Standard, Singapore

The Standard Hotels have made a name for themselves in boutique luxury hospitality, from New York to Los Angeles and London. The group is now taking on Singapore, with a new hotel set to become the city’s newest “urban oasis”. Its abundant greenery – from the reception to the destination restaurant and the courtyards – is an homage to Singapore’s reputation as a “City in a Garden”. Located close to the Botanic Gardens and the Orchard Road shopping area, this design-gem deserves all the buzz.

Nobu Hotel, San Sebastian

Known as one of the ultimate gourmet hotspots in Spain, the town of San Sebastian is about to welcome another hospitality giant: Nobu have announced their new hotel and restaurant opening in the city in 2023. With 20 guest rooms and a 98-seat Nobu restaurant, this is the fourth Nobu location in Spain and is expected to quickly become a favourite. We’re already dreaming of the amazing views of the La Concha Bay, and the rich Basque region’s culture and culinary history.

Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne

The Ritz-Carlton has decided on Melbourne for its second Australian hotel. Located in the city centre, the hotel will be the tallest in Australia, with 250 rooms overlooking the beautiful city skyline. It will offer all the amenities the Ritz Carlton is known for, from signature dining experiences to the holistic wellness space, and an infinity pool. Experience Melbourne’s vibrant and diverse cultural scene, then retire back to the Ritz to enjoy the sunset.

Banyan Tree Valle de Guadeloupe Resort, Spa and Winery, Baja California, Mexico

The Valle de Guadaloupe in Baja California, Mexico, is a beautiful region known for its wines and breath-taking panoramas. It’s no wonder that the Banyan Tree Group chose it as their fourth Mexican location, blending together luxury and sustainability. Created by Mexican designer, Michel Rojkind, this ultra-luxe getaway is ideal for those seeking to go on a wellness and rebalance journey. Bonus point for wine affcionados: the property also features its own proprietary vineyards and winemaking laboratory.

The Anam Mui Ne, Vietnam

Set to make a grand opening in January 2023, The Anam Group is celebrating its second location in Vietnam with The Anam Mui Ne. Located in the country’s popular beach town, Phan Thiet, this independent five-star resort is going straight onto our 2023 list. It’s a stylistic encounter between the group’s high standards of luxury and the heritage of the Indochine era.
