Turkish designer Ceylin Türkkan Bilge’s clothing brand SIEDRES is inspired by the authentic Turkish culture she grew up in, its influence shown through playful graphics and prints, luxe textures and bold colour palettes.
Providing a modern wardrobe with soul, she imagines her pieces in the fictional setting of a Mediterranean town. Here, Ceylin shares her favourite travel destinations and the products she can’t live without.
What is the first trip you remember taking?
It was a winter holiday in Zermatt with my family and friends.
What’s been your most memorable trip and why?
A very peaceful vacation in Provence where my husband and I had an unforgettable holiday. It was our first vacation since graduating from university and we drove through small towns with beautiful views. Each hotel had its own winery and it was full of art.
Where or what is your escape?
The summer. I love to hang out on the beach with friends.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve taken from your travels?
Make restaurant reservations before you go.
If I could go anywhere tomorrow, I’d go to:
Peru.
How would you spend your ideal afternoon in your home city?
Walking along Istanbul’s Bosphorus with a coffee and getting some fresh air in Bebek.
What’s your idea of a luxury holiday?
A relaxing ski vacation with my friends, drinking hot wine and eating delicious food.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
How do you recover from jet lag?
I force myself to stay out and constantly search for activities.
Your flight’s delayed an hour and your phone’s out of battery. How do you pass the time?
I would buy and read magazines or books.
Favourite hotel?
Alavya, located at Alaçatı, Çeşme-İzmir. It provides a unique experience each time we stay, with a unique concept in each room. It’s a very eco-friendly hotel with a peaceful atmosphere.
