CF Beauty Editor's Favourite New Beauty Products This March

As lighter, longer days approach, heralding the start of spring, there’s no better time to have a spring clean of your beauty routine. To help you do so, Citizen Femme’s beauty editor, Becki Murray, rounds up the best March beauty launches this year.

From skin plumping creams to give your skin a hydrated glow all the way until summertime, to the latest makeup essentials to fill up your makeup bag, these are the best March beauty launches to be using – and loving – right now.

THE MATTE LIPSTICK

Merit Beauty has taken the beauty industry by storm of late and when you try the new matte lip colour you'll understand why. Far from the type of matte lipsticks of old that made your lips dry and lined, this non-drying formula makes a long-lasting impact. I particularly love the velvety soft finish of the pink Sunday shade.

THE FRESH CREAM

The iconic Sisley Sisleya L'Integral face cream, which beauty insiders have long kept stocked in their cabinets to keep dehydration lines and dullness at bay, is now available in a lighter gel-cream texture just in time for warmer days. And don't worry, the results are the same. It's proven to smooth and brighten your skin in as little as four weeks.

THE HAIR TOOL

The wait for the Dyson Airstrait to arrive in the UK is over! The speedy wet-to-dry styler – which was first launched in the States late last year – means you can now step out of the shower and get silky, soft and straightened hair using just one tool. Oh, and there's less risk of frizz and heat damage too, as the tool uses patented airflow technology, not hot plates, to give you that smooth finish.

THE BODY OIL

This indulgent and beautiful-smelling body oil will really get you in the mood for summer. Packed with lots of antioxidant oils, including grape seed, sunflower and squalane, the formula is silky-smooth to apply and keeps your skin feeling soft, soothed and smoothed for ages. Plus, the rose and geranium scent makes it a delight for your senses too.

THE FACE MASK

The brand behind beauty editors' favourite lip mask (trust us, it's great), now has a solution for your face – and it's just as good. With a super juicy sorbet-like texture, the mask is instantly refreshing with moisturising collagen and peony extract helping you wake up with skin that looks and feels more plump and hydrated.

THE CANDLE

The perfect centrepiece for your living room, the fresh and clean scent of this candle is inspired by the soft aroma of a traditional bar of soap. That means it makes your home smell like you've just been airing fresh laundry throughout the day. Quite simply, bliss.

THE BATH SOAK

This limited edition soak is just the ticket after a stressful week at work. Not only does it make your bath feel even more relaxing; it also uses some of Japanese beauty's most moisturising ingredients, including sake, rice extract and Yoshino cherry, to leave your skin feeling really soft.

THE HAIR HERO

Love to define your curls but hate the tell-tale 'crunch' that often comes with curl-shaping products? The leading hairstylist Adam Reed has come to your rescue. This lightweight gel nourishes your waves or coils while also holding them in place throughout the day for an effortlessly laid-back look.

THE SPRING SCENT

A new season is a great time to switch-up your signature scent and you can't go wrong with this latest one from BDK. The sort of aroma that beckons people closer, this warm ambery and musky fragrance is kickstarted with a spicy pink peppercorn opening, and dries down to a soft, sensual aroma on your skin. Just the ticket for fresh spring days.

THE REPAIR SERUM

Virtue already produces my favourite repairative shampoo and conditioner so the addition of this leave-in serum for boosted protection really caught my attention. It instantly minimised the appearance of my frizzy, split ends and I also love how it contains a solar protection complex to avoid warmer weather leaving your hair looking dry and dull due to the sun's UV rays. A holiday essential.
