Insider Guide To Noosa With Pippa Hannon

Queensland-based Pippa Hannon founded her resort wear brand Palm Noosa in 2018 as an ode to the quintessential Australian lifestyle. This is her guide to Noosa, Australia.

Palm Noosa pieces are created with contemporary femininity and carefree aesthetics. All collection prints are designed in collaboration with local artists and are exclusive to the brand, making each piece one of a kind.

Their latest collection, Province, is a love letter to European summer. The collection brings a mix of elevated summer dress silhouettes, two piece sets, and swimwear. Embracing volume and theatre with dramatic blouson sleeves and lush tiered skirting throughout, Province reminds us that summer is about confidence and dressing for yourself.

Here, Pippa shares her insider tips to her hometown, and inspiration, Noosa, Australia. Read on to find out more about the area’s glorious coves, beachfront lunch spots and versatile restaurants for fun with friends.

When is the best time to visit Noosa?

At the end of summer when the holiday makers have gone home and you feel like you have Noosa all to yourself. The water is the perfect temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, and the beach is all yours.

Our first pitstop should be…

A swim! Shoes off, bikini on – straight into the beautiful warm aqua-blue water at Little Cove.

Your favourite hotel to check-in at is…

Tingirana Noosa. It’s right on the beach, has an ocean view – on Hastings Street – and is close to all the good shops and restaurants. If you’ve had enough of the ocean you can relax poolside, cocktail in hand.

For an early morning workout head to…

Aloha for a hot Pilates class – detoxing and a work out at the same time.

Where should we go for breakfast?

Vanilla Foods, there are so many fresh, yummy things to order and it’s adjacent to a lovely local homewares store called CLO Studios that you can browse while you wait.

Where can we find the best coffee?

Moto – it’s a nice little local café made out of shipping containers that feel like you’re sitting outside.

How about for a long, lazy lunch?

Bistro C – be sure to request an outside table so that you can soak up the sun and look at the sparkly water with an Aperol Spritz in hand and oysters and calamari on the way.

Your favourite restaurant in town?

250 Grammi has the best pizza and unlike a lot of restaurants in Noosa, you can easily walk in and get a table or take it home to enjoy with a nice glass of Pinot Noir. Bandita is a fun new Mexican restaurant that’s nice for catching up with the girls over some Tommy’s Margaritas.

And for dinner with friends?

Rickys but go slightly earlier and sit at the bar for a pre-dinner drink as it’s a great spot to catch the sunset. Take the local ferry there to enjoy a cruise on the Noosa River, it delivers you right at Rickys door step. Order the Spanner Crab Linguini.

The drink to order at the bar…

The best place for people watching…

Theo’s in The Junction (a local hot spot). Sit outside, order a charcuterie board, and enjoy the hum of the afternoon.

Where can we go shopping?

Hastings Street – it has everything you need, including the Palm Noosa boutique.

For the best views head to…

Noosa National Park for a morning stroll along the coast line; you can stop at all the little beaches for a dip along the way.

One place only locals know about…

Pardons Fruit Shop, visit for the best fruit smoothies and fresh produce in town.

A book to read before we go (or while there)?

Daisy Jones and The Six – such a page turner and the best holiday read. I couldn’t put it down.

For a change of pace try…

City Cave for an infrared sauna followed by a massage.

Souvenir to take home?

Palm Noosa pouch.

In one word, Noosa is…

Sunshine.

A must-try spot for date night?

Locale for mood lighting and yummy Italian food, followed by Massimo’s Gelato.

Double Island Point, a very fun adventure. To get there you need a 4WD to drive along the beach to the most beautiful headland. Perfect for a picnic and swim.

How should we spend the final day of our trip?

Watching the Sunset at Boathouse.

What’s your Noosa secret?

Rent a pontoon boat and have a picnic and swim on the sandbanks.
