Summer has been good to us (so far) and we’re in peak activity mode.
Welcome to the Citizen Femme team’s list of things to eat, buy, stay, watch and try this July. This is the ultimate inspiration to see you into the new month.

STAY I’m excited to book a stay at Cowley Manor, recently bought by Experimental Group, for a mini-UK escape. BUY The one shoulder COMMANDO, it’s so great for the weather, and for dressing up and down. I’m wearing it with WAT THE BRAND’s tailored linen trousers, which have become my summer wardrobe staple: they are lightweight and perfect for work (and then for going straight out afterwards) during the warmer months. USE Chanel’s Le Vernis nail polish in Watermelon, the perfect finishing touch. SEE A Little Life before it closes in August.

STAY At Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort, Elounda, for island bliss. Situated between the picturesque fishing village of Plaka and the chic port of Elounda on the island of Crete, visit to indulge in a harmonious blend of nature and luxury. BUY Birkenstock’s Arizona sandals in taupe-beige suede, they have been a godsend for someone who usually spends summer with blisters from uncomfortable sandals. EAT At Mallow’s new Canary Wharf restaurant. The plant-based pioneers – brought to you by the team behind Mildreds – have opened a second location offering their mouthwatering dishes. TRY Sunday Riley’s CEO Brightening Serum for a brighter, luminous and radiant complexion. It’s one of the few products I buy on repeat. WATCH I spent many hours on planes last month, which meant downloading plenty of shows! Stand-outs include Apple TV’s The Crowded Room, Amazon Prime’s Citadel and Disney+ Saint X – all thrillers of course.

STAY After two busy months of travelling, I’m looking forward to a few weeks at home. But I do have my eye on Banyan Tree AlUla in Saudi Arabia. EAT At Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s new Omakase Bar in Mykonos. You’ll find it at Matsuhisa Mykonos in Belevedere Hotel until 28 July. It’s the only omakase on the island. Go for the food, stay for the sunset views over Mykonos Town. BUY A Nespresso coffee machine (it’s about time!). I’ve stayed in lots of hotels recently – many of them with both the coffee machine and milk frother – and making myself a morning cappuccino every day has been one of the highlights of waking up. WATCH Manifest on Netflix. It’s a series I started watching by chance but have become absorbed by. The second half of the last season was released in early June and I need to catch up.VISIT The Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens to see the Greek National Opera. This (restored) ancient Greek theatre is hollowed out of the Acropolis hill and has seen artists such as Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross and Luciano Pavarotti perform. Â

STAY I’ll be spending 24 hours in Bruton at the beautiful 18th-century Durslade Farmhouse to enjoy a picnic lunch from the farm shop and a tour of the latest exhibition at the Hauser & Wirth Somerset gallery. WATCH Netflix have just dropped the third series of The Witcher, which sees Henry Cavill wield his sword as Geralt the monster hunter for the final time. BEAUTY Time to update my makeup shelf with a pot of Chantecaille’s Future Skin foundation – a seemingly magic potion that’s lightweight, moisturising and smudge-proof. EAT If you’re looking for a chic, al fresco spot for lunch or evening drinks then try Mandarin Oriental London’s new Hyde Park Garden with a summery menu inspired by British botanicals. DRINK Find me sipping post-work cocktails at underground bar Larry’s in the exposed brick vaults of the National Portrait Gallery. VISIT I’m heading to the Isle of Wight for a wedding this month and am excited to be a tourist on the island, visiting Osborne House, The Needles and Shanklin Chine.

STAY At the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, which offers panoramic views of the Singapore River and is perfectly located for my attendance at the World Congress of Dermatology this month. I’m hoping to discover some of the latest solutions for anti-ageing skincare while there. BUY An engagement gift for my cousin who is visiting from Australia. I’ve selected this classic cosy candle from Diptyque, which is celebrating too – the brand has been lighting the candle world on fire for 60 years. WATCH As much Wimbledon tennis as possible, preferably on Murray Mount with a glass of Pimms in hand (I’ll be pretending it’s named after me, of course). I was recently invited by La Roche Posay for an hour’s coaching with Tim Henman and it has reignited my love for the sport. EAT & DRINK As Citizen Femme’s resident gluten-free team member, I’ve been trying a host of coeliac-friendly restaurants recently. Plant Club in Newington Green is a particular highlight: I could go everyday for the homemade pesto gnocchi. TRY To simplify my skincare routine for the summer! I have a virtual appointment with the leading dermatologist Dr. Angela Tewari soon, via the incredible website Get Harley, to help me get the very best advice.

STAY I am heading to the Dominican Republic this month and staying at Eden Roc. To say I am getting excited is an understatement. DRINK Dry Gin Martinis at George’s newly reopened Mayfair location. ENJOY Flippers Boogie Palace in Westfield. I tried, I was terrible, but it was super fun and the strong margaritas help with confidence! TRY Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle, creator of the most unique and sensual scents. BUY I have not stopped wearing my earrings from YSSO. Gold jewellery with a Greek heritage, and perfect for both everyday or as a statement in the evenings.

School’s out for summer! I’m packing up and heading down to Devon with my family. EAT The Blue Groove in Croyde is one of my favourite beachy spots. Super-cool surf vibe, great food and ideal for big get-togethers with family and friends. WEAR Denim shorts are my go-to when running around on the beach with my kids. Sezane’s Neils Shorts are the perfect high waisted pair. VISIT I will be popping back to London for a few days and making a beeline for the newly reopened National Portrait Gallery to see the Paul McCartney Photography Exhibition. BOOK Tickets to Lyonesse starring Lily James and Kristen Scott Thomas at the Harold Pinter Theatre have just been released. It’s one of the most exciting plays this autumn so I’ve snapped up some tickets before they sell out. TRY JS Vitamins are an amazing Australian brand that make the best supplements. I’m trying out their Pure Marine Collagen Formula which is great for giving skin a little boost. SEND I love Paperless Post and their latest collaboration with Lisa Corti is so pretty. I’ll be sending them as invitations to a drinks party I’m hosting later in the summer.
