Scott Dunn’s new Explorers Kids Club at Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas raises the bar for luxury in-resort kids clubs offering fully immersive experiences for children from as young as 6 months up to 11 years. Opening in September 2023, the club offers a huge indoor air-conditioned space divided into two separate areas – one for under 5s and another for over 5s, equipped with everything from indoor sensory games to a dedicated Sleep Room. Children are cared for in different groups according to age – Mini Globetrotters (6 – 18 months), Globetrotters (18 months – 2 years), Adventurers (3 – 4 years), Voyagers (5 – 7 years) and Pioneers (8 – 11 years). There is a dedicated splash pool for under 4s with a shaded outdoor play area, as well as a separate pool with waterslide and lazy river for the older kids with lifeguards always on duty. Activities include tennis to padel to crazy golf, beach games to yoga classes, mocktail making to football, and a host of water-based activities including kayaking and doughnut surfing down. But don’t stay indoors the whole time. Take venture out to the cultural escapades offered in Abu Dhabi, with the likes of the Louvre and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and incredible family-friendly activities including Warner Bros World and Ferrari World, not to mention the pristine natural white sand beaches which are a nesting ground for breeding hawksbill turtles each year. The Scott Dunn Explorers Club will be a firm family favourite for winter sun.
