How does a trip to Manhattan’s iconic new hotel sound? This is the hotel we’re booking for our Big Apple getaway.

With a new wave of events set to inspire your mind and appetite, September is looking as exciting as ever. London Theatre Week is in full bloom and this fashion collaboration updates your everyday regulars (and is selling out for very good reason). Book now and shop now from this week’s Citizen Femme Hotlist.

STAY HERE Fifth Avenue Hotel, New York

Introducing Manhattan’s glamorous new hotel set to transform the Madison Square Park area, The Fifth Avenue Hotel. A historical gem which has been lovingly transformed by a collection of some of the most creative minds across design, art, gastronomy and hospitality, this hotel marks a new chapter for the New York landmark, introducing a whimsical, transformational escape in central Manhattan. Once the home and carriage house of Ms. Charlotte Goodridge, a leading figure in Manhattan’s Gilded Age society, whose address was known for her infamous receptions and musicals in the late 19th century, The Mansion opens following a meticulous seven-year, full-scale renovation, restoring the brick and limestone building to its former grandeur. Design highlights include a sweeping marble lobby, lined with antique mirror-panelled walls, filled with bold contemporary furniture as well as bookcases that resemble traditional black lacquered Chinese cabinets from the 19th century; gilded detailing and accents of brass with Murano glass chandeliers, as well as storyboard corridors, telling the adventures of a prolific art collector. The dining offering may even supersede the interiors with the Signature Restaurant, as well as The Study, an intimate Portrait Bar and The Terrace, among others.

BOOK THIS 'Made by Women' A Conversational Series of Creatives

Restaurateur Samyukta Nair will launch ‘Made by Women’ at the much-loved Indian restaurant Bombay Bustle – a conversational series in celebration of women entrepreneurs and their creative journeys. Following the success of Jamavar’s Women’s Club in 2017, which started as an antidote to the traditional ‘boy’s clubs’ of Mayfair, the inaugural edition of ‘Made By Women’ will run over three events from September – October featuring Olia Hercules, Skye McAlpine, and Rosie Birkett. Those attending will be invited to join Samyukta and her guests for canapés and champagne, followed by an evening of thought-provoking discussions, a Q&A, followed by indulgent feasting. To mark the occasion, Executive Chef Surender Mohan has crafted a menu of favourites including aloo ka tuk, crispy new potatoes ghati spice and tulsi chilli chutney; chicken seekh gilafi served with spiced yoghurt, malt vinegar, black salt and homemade chaat masala; paneer butter masala; malabar lamb curry; jalebi cheesecake finished with saffron caviar, gram flour and malai. Fulfilling for both the mind and stomach.

USE THIS Artah Body Brush

Health and supplement brand ARTAH launches The Body Brush. If you’re in a rush, a speedy 5 minute dry brushing every morning is an effective way to improve skin tone, metabolise waste, discourage fluid retention and help ease the appearance of cellulite. Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump, so it relies on movement and changes in pressure to transport lymph around the body. Dry body brushing stimulates drainage and helps eliminate toxins, shedding dead cells and increasing circulation to the skin. A super easy ritual to incorporate into your morning routine, even easier with ARTAH’s new must-have shower accessory, set to make all the difference when practised regularly.

WEAR THIS Gap x LoveShackFancy

It’s no surprise that fashion partnership between Gap  and the New York founded LoveShackFancy had already largely sold-out in many styles in a matter of minutes. The 76-piece capsule includes everything you could think of, from tiered maxidresses to floral printed hoodies, matching tote bags, corset tops, and baseball caps, and is fronted by recording artist Ciara alongside her two children, son Future and daughter Sienna. Regular wardrobe staples now have a touch of romance with LoveShackFancy’s classic vintage inspired florals and ultra-feminine looks. Florals are layered with denim and combined with lace to create a beautiful textured collection, with something for women, men, girls, boys and babies, too.
