CF's Monthly Fashion Round-Up: December 2023

It’s time to plan your sartorial calendar, aided by Citizen Femme’s December 2023 fashion round-up.

Featuring designer collaborations, partywear favourites and lashings of sparkle, these stylish picks will see you through the festive month ahead.

THE VINTAGE EDIT

RIXO co-founders Henrietta and Orlagh created their brand out of a shared love for vintage dresses, and this month they are launching their second curated edit of one-off vintage pieces from brands including Versace, YSL and Gina Bacconi ready for the party season. Expect 40 Christmas-ready styles with embellishment and sequins, made from velvet and silk. The epitome of festive dressing.

THE PARTY-READY PJS

She's our go-to for luxury loungewear and for her Resort 2024 collection, Olivia von Halle brings decadance to dreamtime with a collection that takes inspiration from pioneering female illustrator Mary Blair, who defined Disney's identity in the 1940s and 50s. The Dreamworld Collection is opulent yet artistic; regal cocktail pyjama sets take centre stage with fantasy prints from scenes including Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan – all juxstaposed against the feminine glamour of lustious silk velvets and jewel-tone hues. Boudoir to bar has never been easier.

THE WINTER SUN SWIMWEAR

For those that are spending the Christmas period in sunnier climates, swimwear brand Away That Day is now available to shop at Selfridges, its first stockist since launching in 2019. Pioneering in both style and sustainability, you can now shop their sell-out PYRATEX® range made with degradable elastase in-store, part of their innovation project, to ensure you find your perfect fit. Sizes range from XS – XXXL.

THE JEWELLERY CAPSULE

Architecturally-inspired jewellery brand Completedworks has collaborated with MATCHES FASHION on a party-ready capsule consisting of twelve jewellery pieces that perfectly capture the spirit of the season. Thoughtfully crafted in recycled silver and recycled gold vermeil, artistic designs with emerald and white gemstones, set and offset against freshwater pearls, are the perfect addition to your LBD.

THE PARTY DRESS

Han Chong’s much-loved label has been a favourite for party dressing since its launch in 2013, and Self Portrait's latest campaign with supermodel Gigi Hadid features the Resort 2024 collection captured in Paris at night. The cream scoop-necked bouclé mini dress with bow detailing at the sides is a stand-out style, suited for a night under the famous Parisian beacon as it twinkles in the dark.

THE COVETABLE COLLAB

Back for their third installment of the successful collaboration, Californian fashion label FRAME and the iconic Ritz Paris Hotel have launched a new collection of ready-to-wear pieces pioneering the concept of luxury hotel merchandise. This new drop features holiday-ready pieces – from high-fashion suits with metallic detailing to luxury loungewear embroidered with slogans such as 'Privacy Please' and 'Do Not Disturb'.

THE SHAPEWEAR

Nothing goes hand in hand like partywear does with good fitting shapewear, and new female-founded, Indonesian brand KLAYD has debuted thirty styles of elevated basics in a size inclusion range ready to kick start the season. It was KLAYD's mission to create wardrobe foundations for every woman with a collection of scultping bodysuits, shaping tops and more that honour the form and empower the wearer.

THE LUXE LUGGAGE

London label The Vampire’s Wife has launched an exclusive collaboration with British luxury luggage manufacturer Globe-Trotter, helmed from a shared journey in reimagining the world of luxury travel. The collection, which compromises of an XL trunk, a cabin, carry-on, vanity and jewellery case in both black and ivory, have either black sparkle velvet or blood red interiors, alongside carefully-moulded leather trims, golden brass hardware and luggage tags featuring The Vampire’s Wife’s iconic bat motif.

THE PARTY FEET

If there's ever a time of year for a new pair of shoes, it's now. Italian shoe brand Paris Texas, known for their Parisian charm and Texas toughness, has launched a limited-edition capsule party wear collection with NET-A-PORTER. Slinky lace up sandals, strong stilettos and perfect pumps come in a festive colour palette, rich fabrics and seasonal sparkles. Party feet incoming.
