This Week CF Loves: 27.05.24

Find yourself a way to get into this member’s club for a sensational dinner experience.

Take a break from your Ibizan getaway at this spa, catch this London show before it closes and dress your table with this fun tableware. Summer is in full bloom and this is how to enjoy it. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

EAT HERE Bolívar at Annabel's

Always innovating, Annabel’s, the renowned private members’ club, announces a new addition to its ever-evolving dining offering. Introducing Bolívar, an exploration of South American cuisine, you’ll be met with the vibrant and rustic charm of South America set in bohemian surrounds, but by no means bohemian flavours. Opening with fresh out of the oven classic cornbread, you’ll move on to classic dishes including ceviche and guacamole, but at the core of the menu lies an exceptional array of steak, Cowboy Steak, Wagyu Flat Iron and the Brazilian Sirloin. Beyond the steaks, the menu boasts other tantalising highlights, including the Whole Charred Cauliflower Al Pastor, Beef Tartare with Adobo Peppers and Tlayuda, and the Smoked Chipotle Bearnez and Caviar Oysters. Tequila and mezcal lovers, take a pew at the bar and take time some time to explore the options from barman Ron (Ronald), or have him whip up the Bolívar Margarita or Paloma Picante, guaranteed to knock your Jimmy Choo‘s off.

RELAX HERE Ibiza Gran's Open Spa

Ibiza switches from the party to the zen side, and its best to ensure you enjoy both. Ibiza Gran celebrates both exceedingly well. Whether you’re grabbing dinner at Zuma or Cipriani Downtown Ibiza or carrying the night away at Club Chinois, you can find your downtime at their brand new Open Spa, an expansive wellness sanctuary spanning over 1,300 square meters, giving guests a holistic approach to wellness that complements the vibrant Ibizan lifestyle. Open Spa is divided into four distinct areas, each designed to cater to different aspects of wellness and beauty. Aqua Spa, the centrepiece, is a comprehensive water circuit designed to revitalise the body and mind. The Aqua Spa includes heated hydromassage pools, equipped with jets, waterfalls, and swan necks for targeted therapy, hot and cold ice lounge and contrast path, and a Turkish hammam or Finnish sauna to further detoxify, which features Himalayan salt therapy. Then there’s the salt-steam breathing room and aroma showers, capped off by a relaxation area with water beds for ultimate calm. You’ll also find Rituals for a selection of exclusive face and body treatments, the Gym & Wellness area and Open Beauty with a salon offering a full range of aesthetic services, from hair styling and makeup z to manicures. Indulge and relax. That’s really what Ibiza is all about.

USE THIS Tata Harper Superkind Calming Crème

When it comes to products that are actually worth the spend, Tata Harper is at the top of our list. With the various external factors that can affect our skin, whether its winter and pollution, or chlorine, sun and travel, Tata Harper’s new Calming Crème, comes in at the opportune time – a soothing, redness-reducing addition to her botanical beauty brand and the Superkind range for reactive skin. This, quite literally, wraps your skin in a blanket of calm with just the right amount of richness to soothe redness and tackle flare ups. The ingredients feature heroic redness reducer, Tazman Pepperberry, and Tahitian Golden Microalgae, which takes centre stage to soothe chronic irritation and support skin’s resilience. Finally, a barrier booster in the Oat Seed Oil nourishes the skin. Its super kind by name, and super kind by nature.

SEE THIS Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York)

Undoubtedly, one of my favourite things to enjoy in London is the theatre. Sure, the West End is sure to wow. But the Fringe is often unbeatable. Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) brings audiences both, with its beginnings at The Kiln, followed by a transfer to The Criterion in Piccadilly Circus. A meet-cute that’s not all romance. Two twentysomething strangers cross paths in NYC. Naive and upbeat Brit Dougal (Sam Tutty) has flown over for a whirlwind 36-hour trip based around his estranged dad’s wedding. Extremely tired and tough-on-the-outside native New Yorker Robin (Dujonna Gift) is sister of the bride, and has been dispatched to meet him at the airport. The cake is a wedding cake, which she has to pick up from Brooklyn. He tags along for the ride: they take it in an Uber. You root for them both, and fall in love with them simultaneously as audience members, getting to know their real lives.

DINE WITH THIS Addison Ross

When the sun is shining, you may be thinking of revamping your summer table decor or if you have some outdoor space or taking to a park, spruce up your al fresco offering. Pick the right amount of added colour from Addison Ross cute Mini Bob salt and pepper mills to Chinoiserie placemats, or striped lacquer or scalloped ottoman trays. Along with their various industry collaborations (India Hicks and Sophie Paterson for example), this one brand encourages you to break the rules of traditional colour matching. Have fun with colour from your placemats to your candle holders, think of them as an easy accessory to complement the food you’re serving. Let your guests eat with their eyes before they dive into the rest of the flavours presented on the table.
