This Week CF Loves: 22.07.24

We know you’re all busy individuals. With that in mind, we’ve got the accessory to keep you looking fresh (lighter than your phone) to keep in hand, the app you need to stay fit on the go, plus the new workout that has your changing body requirements in mind.

A must-visit pop-up for one of our favourite denim brands and a secluded getaway to ease burnout and just take a breath. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

The classes can be done anytime, anywhere and with no equipment. A month long membership is available for only £25, an easy add-on to your summer holiday plans.

GO HERE E.L.V. DENIM Summer Pop Up

Cool, sustainable brand E.L.V. Denim brings a one-off pop-up to Dan’s Wine Bar in Dalston this week. The E.L.V Denim concept means that each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, sustainably created with zero waste. The brand turns unwanted cast offs into handcrafted denim, selling at leading outlets from The Outnet to Neiman Marcus to Moda Operandi. It is one of the few brands leading by example showing others that upcycling can be incorporated with great design and luxury tailoring.  One of our favourite styles? The Straight Leg Jeans, constructed from two tones of blue denim and cutting high on the waist, paired with a white T-shirt instantly emulates summer cool.

SHOP THIS Hertility x Sweaty Betty

Exercise during menstruation or menopause shouldn’t cause any restrictions. Women’s bodies change but their workout wear doesn’t. Now, Hertility, the world’s first diagnostic, virtual clinic for female reproductive health has partnered with Sweaty Betty, female-first activewear brand to create a Femtech activewear collection. In a social poll, almost half of women (47%) said heavy periods impacted their choice of workout outfit and 57% have stopped exercising during pregnancy altogether due to uncomfortable workout wear. The trend continues into perimenopause with 76% of women saying that they’ve become less active. The five styles in the new collection help alleviate all of these concerns. Leak Protect Power Leggings, a super-powered take on the brand’s best selling multi-workout Power Legging looks and feels exactly like a classic Power Legging, but with a new, seamless tri-layer gusset to absorb leaks during menstruation, postpartum and menopause. The All Day Leggings Shorts and Top is designed to support gentle movement through every stage of pregnancy featuring an adjustable drawcord, while the leggings are designed with a stretchy, over-the-bump fit. Finally, a special co-branded edition of the bestselling Athlete Workout T-Shirt to remind yourself “I’m not Ovary-Acting”. Workout wear that can keep up.

STAY HERE Beach House, Antiparos

From owner and hotelier of The Rooster comes the latest chapter for Beach House – an eight-bedroom guest house with authentic Greek spirit and soul. On the sheltered southern coast of the unspoilt island of Antiparos, looking out onto the crystal-clear, calm waters of the Aegean coastline, this is a rejuvenating Cycladic escape offering a slower, simpler pace to life. The day-into-night restaurant is a brand-new beach side post of the original Athens restaurant of the same name, Cookoovaya. The more casual daytime beach canteen and bar offers light-bites, seasonal dishes, and refreshing cocktails with an old-school vibe. In addition to the 90 sunbeds on the golden sandy beach, Beach House features two treatment rooms, an outdoor library, lounge area and a magical playground hidden among the olive trees for children to explore. We suggest you takeover the property for a full multi-generational getaway.

USE THIS ZIIP HALO

I’m all about quick, easy solutions for skincare at home. Facial devices are becoming more and more popular but how effective are they, and how easy are they to use? One name that regularly crops up is Ziip Halo, a microcurrent and nanocurrent device for at-home use that has been on the essentials lists for A-listers. Promising to deliver a mini facelift, its neat, lighter than a phone, and insists you can fit in a treatment into an ad break. A microcurrent device is essentially a workout for your face, delivering small electrical currents to the muscles and skin cells to stimulate collagen production. The Ziip Halo is a device that harnesses the powers of both microcurrents and nanocurrents, which are even smaller electrical currents that are able to penetrate deeper into skin and provide longer-lasting results. After cleansing your face, apply five pumps of the brand’s Electric Complex Gel. After turning on the Ziip Halo, begin the treatment, starting from your chin area and then moving the device up and around your face. The microcurrent tool beeps halfway through the treatment and will turn off automatically after four minutes, as that is all you really need. Easy and long-term use, this one is a keeper.
