This Week CF Loves: 29.07.24

We’re glitz and glam this week. Jump aboard this Cruise if your travels take you to the Paris Olympics, or take a seat at the counter at this hidden Parisian inspired restaurant in London.

Plus, London’s theatre always promises a jolly good show (this one in particular is sure to blow your socks off). This is what we’re booking and where we are eating – plus our must-have handbag essential moving forward – in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

VISIT THIS Dior Cruise, Paris

To mark the occasion of the Paris Olympic Games, the Dior Spa Cruise is dropping anchor at Port Henri IV near the Ile Saint-Louis for just two weeks. For this third outing, and to highlight this historical sporting event, the Dior Spa embarks on the Excellence Yacht de Paris with a 120m upper deck adorned with the brand’s iconic coral toile de jouy pattern, and features five treatment cabins, including one double, spread across its lower levels. A bespoke Dior Treatment menu is offered while yoga and pilates specialists are also aboard these ultra-exclusive cruises. From The Care Cruise, priced at €1,150, includes a one-hour facial or body treatment followed by a wellness meal and relaxation time to an individual treatment menu including signature services such as Dior Sculpt Therapy, which combines touch therapy with radiofrequency technology, and Dior Muscle Therapy, inspired by athletes’ recovery programmes. Or dine at ‘Monsieur Dior sur Seine’, an extension of the Avenue Montaigne restaurant, take a dip in the cold plunge pool or relax on one of 10 sun loungers in the shade of Dior parasols. It’s the perfect place to soak in the buzz of the Olympic hustle and bustle, with an utterly special wellness experience on the Seine.

CATCH THIS Hello, Dolly!

A musical at the London Palladium will come with all sorts of expectations.  And Hello, Dolly! is this year’s most hyped musical and for good reason. Jerry Herman’s classic 1964 musical has come for a major London revival with the brilliant and mighty Imelda Staunton, and her powerhouse voice and personality. Dolly Levi is the ultimate fixer of late 19th century New York, with a business card for every occasion.  Dominic Cooke plunges us into an 1890s New York so richly realised through pops of colour and set pieces, all whilst managing to turn this ritzy-glitzy 1963 musical into a genuinely touching tale.

EAT HERE Story Cellar, Covent Garden

Tom Sellers has opened Story Cellar, Parisian inspired rotisserie style neighbourhood restaurant in Covent Garden’s Neals Yard. The kitchen is led by Rob Homer (previously of Dovetale, Alfred’s, Hotel Café Royal) and features a concise seasonal menu including unique interpretations of dishes such as house terrine and smaller plates in the likes of Sellers’ famed snail bolognaise on toast with parsley butter and tuna tartare with tomato ponzu, sesame and seaweed, alongside house-cured charcuterie. Of course the signature rotisserie chicken – which can be ordered half or whole – is unmissable, followed by a very well executed bread and butter pudding. The wine offering is supported by a Coravin system, which allows guests to try rare and exceptional wines by the glass, usually only available in full bottle format. Counter dining at its best.

USE THIS Obagi Daily Hydro Drops

Obagi’s Daily Hydro-Drops deliver intense hydration, combatting daily skin problems ensuring your skin remains resilient, radiant, and youthful. A very easy addition to your daily routine, the serum features pure Vitamin B3, Abyssinian Oil, and Hibiscus Oil, but what really sets this serum apart is the Isoplentix technology. This means it keeps the ingredients in their purest forms until application, offering maximum efficacy without irritating emulsifiers. The result is a lightweight, non-comedogenic formula (meaning it won’t clog or block your pores) that leaves your skin feeling instantly refreshed and smoother.

TRAVEL WITH THIS Ocean Bottle

Its an astonishing figure that more than 400 million tonnes of plastic is still produced every year. What’s even more worrying is that half of this is single-use, and less than 10 per cent is recycled. The impacts on this are vast and as consumers, we can all take steps to minimise this. Ocean Bottle is not only a stylish accessory you can fill up on the go, the company is based on collecting 1,000 plastic bottles for each one they sell before they reach the ocean. This company is pretty much doing a lot of the hard work for you. Available in 500ml or 1 litre options (travel mugs and tumblers also available), the lid screws off in two places, firstly around three quarters of the way up for cup-style drinking and adding ice, and secondly at the cap, for drinking on the go. It keeps your drink hot for up to 6 hours, and chilled for 18 hours, it’s easy to clean and comes in plenty of colourways to suit your personal style.
