What Our Fashion Editor Is Loving This August

It’s time to plan your summer sartorial calendar, aided by Citizen Femme’s August 2024 fashion round-up.

Featuring names to know, new season wishlists and exciting summer exclusives, our fashion editor’s picks will see you through summer in style.

THE JEWELLERY

London-based sisters Rosanna and Christie Wollenberg founded Otiumberg in 2016 after finding a gap in the market for affordable but quality demi-fine jewellery. Their latest drop of pieces, all made from 14k gold or sterling silver, have been designed to become timeless wardrobe staples, fitting seamlessly into your everyday wardrobe. The Wave earrings are top of my wishlist.

THE COLLECTION

Hong-Kong based label SAU LEE blends the East with the West, celebrating a new era of female glamour through contemporary pieces. The Sunday capsule, designed for the summer holidays, brings together glamour and leisure for the ultimate getaway wardrobe. Resort-ready dresses, crochet separates and bikini cover-ups will stand proud amongst a sea of looks.

THE PRE-FALL PIECES

Before we know it, summer will be over and we're straight into autumn dressing. NET-A-PORTER's Pre-Fall shopping list covers all your satorial style needs, with fresh pieces from covetable brands and new collections. From modern workwear to accessory heroes and eveningwear staples, it's time to start preparing your new season wardrobe.

THE SWIMWEAR

Spanish swimwear label SEABASS was first designed for men and children – after founders Kayleigh and Barry van Ruiven found a need for comfortable and elegant UV-protective swimwear during a family vacation to Miami. Now introducing its first women's collection for Cruise 24, the distinct retro aesthetic is nostalgic to a time of glamour and modesty, with a capsule of sailor-inspired swimwear with UPF 50+ designed to protect from the sun. Actress and poet Greta Bellamancina fronts the campaign alongside her husband and their children – perfectly capturing this family-friendly swim brand.

THE COLLAB

Designed for It girls by It girl and actress Laura Harrier, this latest collaboration from Reformation was inspired by her signature style using deadstock fabrics, keeping sustainability sexy. Fans can dress like their fashion muse with effortless dresses, evening tops, matching separates and versatile footwear, all in a neutral colour palette to fit seamlessly into your current wardrobe rotation.

THE BAG DEBUT

You're probably familiar with shoe brand Dear Frances, they've built a loyal customer base of discerning women and are synonymous for their cult Balla mesh flats. Now venturing into handbags, the designs are crafted with the same passion for quality and timelessness that has defined the brand’s footwear, the result of an 18-month collaboration with one of Italy’s finest factories. Long-lasting styles that transcend trends will house your essentials this season and beyond.

THE SHOES

The release of NEOUS's new collections each season are always highly anticipated. Designed in East London by Vanissa Antonious, designs are the epitome of modern minimalism, with silhouettes influenced by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s “less is more” philosophy. Her latest drop of shoes are meticulously handcrafted in Italy and inspired by modern art with a timelessness you'll want to invest in. The Pherka Mesh heel is a CF winning style.
