The people behind some of London’s best restaurants and who have made quite a dent on the foodie scene – Trishna, Gymkhana, Kitchen Table, Sabor and Lyle’s – have announced their latest launch Ambassadors Clubhouse, celebrating food, drink, music and culture from the region of Punjab. This new site, just off Regent Street in the enclave of Heddon Street, gives a nod to a time of opulence and celebration, with interiors taking inspiration from the team’s Grandfather and ex-Ambassador’s summer house in Dalhousie and the abandoned party mansions of Northern India. Harking back to pre-partition and an undivided India and Pakistan, the food shares its heritage from roadside dhaba treats to the royal palaces of Punjab and family homes. The menu begins with Papads and Chaat, the quintessential street food of the region, and Bitings, a word used to describe drinking snacks, before the main event of Kebabs cooked across the tandoor (clay oven), sigri (charcoal grill) and tawa (flat griddle). Matka and Karahi will include classic curries cooked in iron woks and earthen clay pots, as well as Biryanis and Pilaus, served alongside an extensive list of tandoor-roasted Breads. Classic Indian desserts will also be available. JKS’ last Indian brand was Brigadiers, an Indian barbecue joint based on the siblings’ paternal grandfather, a brigadier in the Indian Army. Ambassadors Clubhouse is somewhere between that and Gymkhana, the group’s two Michelin-star restaurant in Mayfair. Its a mighty space (that was once occupied by Momos) with 140 covers split across two floors and a 3am licence meaning you can make a whole night of it.

Take a wander to ‘House of A&M’ (HOAM), the new 1,900 square foot concept store by cult jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu in the bustling Carnaby Street area. The new concept store is as shoppable as it is photo worthy. Take a look around their much-loved services offering, with an impressive three welding stations for bracelets and anklets, as well as three studios for piercing and fine-line tattoos.
