I always get excited about adding a few new key pieces to my wardrobe when the new season comes around, and it usually includes outerwear heroes as well as accessories to update my existing rotation. This year, I’m also dressing a 21 week bump while not compromising on my own personal style.
These are the 10 pieces on my wish list for a stylish autumn/winter season.
OTIUMBERG EARRINGS
A new pair of gold earrings always feels fresh, and this sculptural pair from London-based brand Otiumberg will elevate even the simplest of outfits. I’ll be wearing mine with a slicked-back bun and an autumnal lip.
LE MONDE BERYL PUMPS
These Le Monde Beryl burgundy red pumps are the newest addition to my shoe closet after being on my wish list for a few months. I love the woven leather and the rich red colour, a key trend this season. They’re the perfect transitional shoe, for when the weather isn’t quite cold and wet enough to wear boots.
MANU ATELIER BAG
If there’s one bag you should invest in this season it’s a brown leather tote. Sartorially stylish, this design from the Istanbul-based brand has been a sell-out and is the perfect addition to my workwear wardrobe, accommodating a 13-inch MacBook, and any baby bits when my twins come.
CITIZENS OF HUMANITY JEANS
I have a whole wardrobe of denim that doesn’t fit me in my second trimester, and I am desperately missing a good pair of jeans I can wear on repeat. This low slung style from LA-brand Citizens of Humanity fits under the bump, so I can wear them postpartum too.
RAILS JACKET
When the weather turns cold and crisp, I love wrapping up in a statement jacket. The boxy faux leather silhouette and ivory shearling details on this, from Rails, will work with denim and a fine cashmere knit. I sized up to accommodate the third trimester bump.
HUSH JUMPER
This chocolate brown, relaxed wool blend jumper is made from a high-quality knitwear that will stand the test of time. It has the perfect slouch for off-duty days, but will look equally stylish paired with leather and pointed toe pumps.
TOTEME COAT
Toteme’s pieces are designed to be forever wardrobe staples and this camel scarf coat is a luxury piece that will transcend trends. I love the built-in scarf and will be wearing it out and about in the city.
DÉHANCHE BELT
This belt brand has reigned supreme since it entered the fashion industry’s radar and is a sophisticated finishing touch to any outfit. I may be pregnant, but that won’t stop me from accessorising.
BUMPSUIT DRESS
I’ve been looking for a dress I can wear for date night and evening events, and this from Bumpsuit hits the mark. It will grow with my bump while allowing me to feel put together. It’s going to be a winner this season.
KHAITE BOOTS
I’ve been looking for a low-heel boots option, since wearing higher heels during my later stages in pregnancy may be rather optimistic! The cream colour may not be overly practical, but I’ll get wear out of them in the spring too, and I love the snakeprint detail on the toe for a modern edge.
