The Citizen Enfants' October Hotlist

There’s just as much to do for kids as there is for adults this month.

Don’t let a half term break worry you with things to do, from days out to spooktacular Halloween activities, family getaways to the sweetest new children’s clothing collection, get toasty and get out there this month. This is what we’re loving in our October Citizen Enfants’ Hotlist.

TAKE YOUR BABIES TO THIS FRAMELESS Multi-Sensory Tots classes

The UK’s largest immersive art experience FRAMELESS launches weekly Multi-Sensory Tots Classes with a month-long partnership with Rochelle Humes’ family-friendly hair and skincare brand My Little Coco brand. Running every Friday morning, these 20 minute sessions offer a magical blend of storytelling, music, and sensory play. Plus, you can enjoy the full FRAMELESS experience after through four permanent multi-sensory galleries featuring over 90 minutes of mesmerising visuals set to a dazzling score, and take home a My Little Coco goody bag throughout October. The creative classes inspired by The Babysitting Club founder Kimberley Jones’ musical theatre background, transport tots and their parents/carers into a magical world of storytelling, music and sensory play. Guests will sing, play with sensory props and catch bubbles, sparking imagination and wonder. It’s the perfect Friday morning escapism for parents or carers with their little ones, particularly during the rainy Autumn days.

HALLOWEEN HERE Halloween at High Street Kensington 

London’s High Street Kensington goes big for Halloween this year. In a half term week-long, spook-filled programme (25-31st October), a packed line-up includes a giant inflatable, spooky street theatre, a Halloween hunt, Yayoi Kusama’s giant polka dot pumpkin at Kensington Gardens and a rampaging Godzilla in the Japan House. There’s more than enough for the whole family (smaller kids to bigger ones welcome) including the family-inspired Farmer’s Market filled, crafts, pumpkin decorating and face painting. Then on the 31st, Hallow’s Eve itself, there will be a free extravaganza of spooky street-theatre with entertainers galore and trick or treating. Alongside the special events, the streets will be filled with some of London’s most elaborate Halloween installations. For something more immersive, the Design museum unveils The World of Tim Burton exhibition (from 25 October), and children can join a number of ‘Design Camp’ workshops associated with the exhibition throughout half term week. Enjoy Hyde Park’s Hair-raising Halloween Discovery Days (29-31st October from 11-3.30pm) plus Victorian-style spooks at Sambourne House with a variety of craft activities for children aged 5-10yrs on 28th October (2-4pm).

BUY THIS Organic Zoo

JOIN THIS Baboodle 

‘Stuff’ seems to accumulate when you have kids, particularly rapidly as they grow. Baboodle, the UK’s first baby equipment subscription platform, is taking its mission to new heights. STAY HERE Fowey Hall, Cornwall  

Fowey Hall is the perfect spot for younger families this half-term. Located on the beautiful Cornish coast overlooking the fishing town of Fowey, the Victorian manor is a treat for families wanting to embark on winter walks, roam Ready Money cove and explore the quaint town of Fowey en famille, with its brilliant restaurants, fudge, sweets & antique shops. To make the journey more straightforward with little ones and to avoid the long drive, guests can take a short flight from a number of London airports direct to Newquay.
