This Week CF Loves: 28.10.24

With the clocks turning back, the colder season may have officially started in the Northern Hemisphere, but don’t fret, we have just the winter sun spot for you.

A trip over to the Turkish Riviera in time for the annual Rixos Sailing Cup is the perfect way to break up the shorter days that are officially upon us now. But, winter does also mean the approach of the festive season as our calendars get busier, and we have the exclusive supper club by a Michelin-star chef you’ll want to attend this week plus the beauty stocking filler to shop now. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

GO HERE Rixos Sailing Cup, Rixos Premium Göcek

We have just the fix for colder, autumn weather. Pack your bikini and boat shoes and book flights to Turkey – SunExpress have just launched direct flights to Dalaman from the UK – to enjoy November sun and that unbeatable feeling of wind in your hair at Rixos Premium Göcek’s annual Rixos Sailing Cup. Running for its ninth year this year, the cup is open to all levels of sailing experience as each yacht team is complete with a professional skipper, and we can’t think of a more scenic spot to learn the art of sailing from than lapping race buoys in this quiet cove on the Turkish Riviera. So, whether you’re an experienced skipper or first time bosun, we say it’s time to set sail. Prefer to keep your feet on dry land? Watch the fleets of yachts pepper the blue horizon from a sun lounge at the adults-only (13+) Rixos Premium Göcek, cocktail in hand, before joining your crew post-sail at the hotel’s programme of daily entertainment, including live music, dining events, and a gala dinner complete with an awards ceremony at the end of the four-day tournament. With Rixos’ reputation for impeccable service, you’ll be well looked after here.

BOOK THIS Halloween at Bacchanalia

Londoners are no strangers to supernatural thrills, but this year promises to transport you to a realm beyond the ordinary. This Halloween, Bacchanalia and its exclusive cocktail lounge, Apollo’s Muse, invite guests to descend into the underworld for an evening of untamed revelry. In an unforgettable evening of two parts, guests can first enjoy a dining experience in the main restaurant Bacchanalia, from 8pm. Indulge in the iconic Medusa-head dessert with a spooky twist, and irresistible Dalmore Whisky elixirs. Later, the night takes a darker turn as guests surrender to the magnetic pull of the Minotaur’s Lair. From 10pm until late, Apollo’s Muse, transforms for one night only. Those dressed to impress can dare to enter and experience a soul-stirring DJ set by Kitty Amore, for a night filled with danger, desire, and spine-chilling magic.

SHOP THIS ZARA x Nanushka

If you’re as much into homeware as I am, you’ll want to know about the latest interiors partnership that has caught our eye. Zara has announced its latest venture with Budapest-based fashion label Nanushka. The multidisciplinary collection features a broad range of items, from menswear to jewellery but its the home accessories that I’m focusing on. Sandra Sándor, Nanushka’s founder and creative director, described the collaboration as a “fusion of Eastern and Western influences,” remaining loyal to Nanushka’s signature design ethos, which is deeply rooted in the brand’s Hungarian heritage. The home collection offers a diverse range of items, including hand-painted floral ceramics, totem-inspired candles, marble-textured side tables, and an array of cushions and rugs that experiment with different textures and fabrics, marking Nanushka’s debut into the world of home furnishings.

DINE HERE La Casa Brugal

Looking for an exciting evening plan this week that also gives back? Award-winning rum producer from the Dominican Republic, Brugal rum, is partnering with Michelin-starred chef Nieves Barragán Mochacho for a dinner series at Sabor in Mayfair. The menu is curated by chef Nieves Barragán Mochacho who won their Michel-star at London’s Barrafina before founding Sabor, which has since also won a Michelin-star, and so is set to be good. Sabor’s menu of Spanish tapas is giving way to a Spanish/ Dominican fusion, to bring a flavour of Brugal’s roots to the table. Across the sharing menu, expect the likes of figs in tempura, turbot with salsa verde in Brugal rum, with plenty of Brugal rum cocktails to pair with made from the brand’s fine aged rums including The Legacy Spritz, Maestro’s Welcome, and more. Plus, all proceeds from the evening will go to a local charity. The next date is 29th October (tomorrow) so book a space while you can.

GIFT THIS Westman Atelier Holiday Collection

Pretty in pink, Westman Atelier has just unveiled the new holiday collection and it’s cuter than ever. The collection is comprised of three limited edition gift sets: The Complete Petite Brush Collection complete with nine makeup brushes; Petite Fête Edition featuring a mini mascara, highlight, and blush; Lip Suede Matte Lipstick Trio including three pink lipstick shades in the new hydro-suede lip plumping finish. These sets make for the prettiest stocking fillers and are just what our festive makeup bags are craving this season. Plus, founded by famous makeup artist Gucci Westman, the product formulas and brush shapes are makeup artist standard, to keep us contoured and puckered all event season long.
