IZZA in Marrakech is one of the hottest hotels in Morocco right now, and this is your chance to experience it. Enter to win a three-night stay for two people, complete with flights, dinner and spa treatments.
Marrakech has long been a city overflowing with art, design and creativity; IZZA thoughtfully showcases the city’s tradition and heritage while looking to its future.
With a £5 million art collection, 14 bespoke bedrooms, massage and hammam rooms, a boutique store, a romantic rooftop restaurant, friendly staff and an overwhelmingly peaceful aura, intimate art hotel IZZA is like no other in the Red City.
Taking design inspiration from the “father of Moroccan-style interior design,” Bill Willis, who called Marrakech home and for whom the city was an infinite muse, IZZA is made up of seven interconnecting riads, with three peaceful courtyards and pools, and fourteen carefully crafted and individually designed bedrooms ranging in size, decor, soft furnishings and art. Each has 100 per cent Egyptian cotton bed linens, bathroom products from nearby Ourika Valley, and is named after someone who has made a mark on Marrakech, including Yves Saint Laurent, Grace Jones and Talitha Getty.
Reflecting Willis’ design style as well as wider Moroccan heritage, IZZA’s interiors showcase local design techniques such as tadelakt and zellige – found everywhere from warren-like staircases to peaceful poolside loungers (which are ideal for curling up on with a good book; head to the hotel’s library to browse titles including The Arabian Nights or more modern takes on the city such as Alice Morrison’s My 1001 Nights).
But it’s not only the city’s heritage that’s celebrated here; an impressive contemporary and digital art collection worth £5 million looks to the future too, and makes this hotel as much a museum as a place to stay. With over 300 pieces of art on display, there’s a lot to explore.
Look for works by Hassan Hajjaj, perhaps the most iconic artist in modern Morocco; motion portraits by Yatreda, a family of artists from Ethiopia; and American-Turkish visual artist Refik Anadol’s AI displays. A series of hand-written letters between Willis and other celebrities inspired by sixties’ and seventies’ boho-Marrakech (Mick Jagger, Grace Jones, Yves Saint Laurent) adorn the walls too.
On the rooftop, the hotel’s restaurant, Noujoum, is a dining destination in its own right. While IZZA is within walking distance to many of the city’s popular restaurants, it’s well worth saving an evening to enjoy an intimate dinner of delicious Moroccan and Mediterranean flavours here – surrounded by artwork, inspired chatter and the twinkling night sky.
Marrakech is a city known for buzzing souks, noisy streets and something new to see or do on every corner. IZZA is the ideal space to come back to for rest, relaxation, and recuperation with a side of art and design at the end of a long day exploring them. Enter here.

ABOUT IZZA IN MARRAKECH
IZZA in Marrakech opened to wide acclaim in September 2023, following an eight-year renovation. Located close to Marrakech medina and other attractions, the hotel is known as ‘The House of Friends’, and invites “creative freedom seekers” to soak in the stories and follow in the footsteps of the artists, writers, musicians and other creative souls who have sought Marrakech as a refuge since the 1960s.
