Members’ clubs are no longer just for adults; children can have the same benefits of access to the best play centre, classes and food under one roof. Become a member at Jaego’s House, London’s most stylish and exciting members’ club for families this December.
Family clubs are a fantastic way to hang out with your little ones in a comfortable, welcoming and stylish space that offers so much for both children and their parents. None do it better than Jaego’s House in London. From an excellent kids’ club, soft play area and inspiring activities for children, to amazing adult wellness classes, workspaces and events for parents, it’s become incredibly popular – and for very good reason. Now the club is opening its books to new members for one day only on 10 December. Citizen Enfants popped in to discover why it’s so worth joining this exclusive, but wonderfully family-friendly club.
Why is Jaego’s House so wonderful for families?
It’s not an exaggeration to say that these clubs are paradise for children. With facilities and activities for all ages, from newborns to nine year-olds, the emphasis here is always on kids’ happiness and wellbeing.
Very little ones aged from 0 to three can enjoy time in the crèche and kids’ club, where they will be carefully looked after by fully qualified staff from the Babysitting Club, an agency that specialises in childcare with a background in theatre. Engaging and fun, this is a place for babies and toddlers – not only to be cared for, but also to learn. Similarly in the Kids’ Club which is aimed at over-fours, you’ll find the same dedicated staff who will really engage and play with children, encouraging creativity and inspiring meaningful connections and friendships.
The central ethos of Jaego’s is about fun and exploration. There is soft play… and then there is Jaego’s House soft play. Separated (but joined) with two areas for under threes – with a jungle gym, ball blowers, small slides, dress up and more – and bigger slides and climbing frames for kids up to the age of nine. Plus, it’s an ideal space for children to burn off all that energy. As Sheena Bhattessa, founder of Citizen Femme vouches, “it is my go-to with my children. They are as excited to go to Jaego’s as I am, not only building their own community of friends there, but hours of endless fun on the soft play and with the numerous classes they join.”
In the dedicated kids’ studio you’ll discover classes for children: little ones will love the messy play, baby yoga and sensory classes, while older kids will be totally engaged by cookery, football, ballet, art – and so much more. There are over 70 sessions to choose from every week at different times of the day – ideal for after school. Plus they run holiday clubs to keep youngsters entertained and busy when they are not in the classroom.
Add to this an outdoor playground for sunny days, a kids’ cinema that shows all the latest movies (with popcorn on tap), and the option to host your child’s birthday party at the club, and you really do have a one-stop shop for keeping kids entertained.
What is there for parents?
Jaego’s House was created by Charlie Gardiner (Jaego’s dad!) in 2022. His main aim was to create a place that parents would love as much as their kids. Far from putting parents’ needs after those of young members, he knew that it was equally important for them to enjoy their surroundings and find a space where they could hang out and spend quality time with their kids. He set about designing an innovative family members’ club and nursery, and the Kensal Rise location was born. “Reassuringly noisy,” Jaego’s House has a super-relaxed atmosphere where parents can kick back and sip on a (responsible) glass of wine, knowing that their kids are in safe hands and having the time of their little lives blowing off steam.
Every little detail is carefully thought out. There are tons of areas where you can play and chat to your children, such as the Living Room and Snug with comfy sofas to snuggle on, a plethora of books to read, and games to play. There’s also plenty of opportunity to have time to yourself, safe in the knowledge that your kids are being well looked after – be that to catch up on emails in the comfortable, well-equipped workspace; join a fitness or wellness class such as yoga, pilates or dance cardio; or head to the state-of-the-art gym to work out alone or with one of the clubs’ personal trainers.
A Place To Connect
Open to Jaego’s House members and their guests, the Restaurant and Terrace is a central hub within the club – and a super-social spot to hang out and meet friends. A delicious, nutritious menu is packed with dishes that will suit both grown-up and little taste buds, and the relaxed café-style eatery ticks the boxes with a grab-and-go counter for when you need to feed hungry little ones in a hurry, plus a milk bar serving up all the milk your baby or toddler needs throughout the day.
Bring your own formula to make, warm and serve up in this sterile and clean environment. All day from Monday to Thursday and after 3.30pm on the weekends, they offer one free kids’ main and a side or a dessert with every adult meal purchased, from their exclusive Kids Eat Free menu – and trust us, little ones will never be bored while they wait for their food with a play area complete with bean bags, a book display and a TV playing everyone’s favourite films and shows.
